From October:

I like this: The Argus Mi-TIC has recently cemented its status as the UK's market leader in the fire fighter's Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) field with another saturated month of deliveries into the UK Fire & Rescue Services.

NASA gives the green light to $200 million ICON mission:

e2v will provide two 2048 x 4096 pixel CCDs (Charge Coupled Devices) image sensors to equip the instrument. The sensors will be back-illuminated, coated with an anti-reflective coating to improve their sensitivity and operated in the frame transfer mode.

Well the CEO is backing it with buying shares himself Aishah and someone's driving these up to new highs - a bid target perhaps. They've done the camera stuff for the Rosetta Comet landing and waved a big flag to the yanks to say that they are here.

Look cheap too imo - when they say they are aiming to double operating profit by 2020 and taking into account the consistent earnings record.

A yield ofg around 3% too.

What's not to like? Not sure I'm gonna listen to a tip rag.

All imo/dyor etc

Shares Mag view: New CEO facing capex crunch barrier to turnaround plans

"A reputation for a confused hotch-potch of businesses, we don't see sentiment changing dramatically until firm evidence that E2V's strategic rethink can pay-off."

UK space industry behind Rosetta comet mission
The mission to land on comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko relies on British expertise and highlights the growing importance of the UK's space industry

"• e2v, based in Chelmsford, which designed and supplied the Civa camera system that will take pictures of the comet’s surface, as well as the Rolis system which will film during the descent and take images of the sites sampled by Philae’s instruments. The company also built three other camera systems on the main spacecraft, one that produced all the pictures shown so far, and others used for navigation and helping map the landing spot "

Librum:

e2v's ambition to double operating profits by 2020 implies 15% CAGR (2/3 organic, 1/3 acquisitive) and if achieved, will lead to material upgrades and drive a re-rating (20% discount to peers). Delivery will take time and remains uncertain but nonetheless, we are buoyed by yesterday's update. Increased customer focus, operational excellence and business simplification is in need. H1 results encouraging, FY estimates unchanged. BUY.
Link to last week’s initiation.

CEO buys another 20K.

Agree edwardt - rather good results and ambitious targets. Nice to see the CEO adding.

I jumped out late last week not knowing what to expect but bought back this am after playing safe.
