21/5/2009 16:58 | If thats from today - its strange because the bit about OBT doesn't agree with: | bones30
21/5/2009 16:14 | that wet blanket RNS killed off the rally. Apparently they were forced into making it which makes me laugh when we regularly see companies on AIM rocketing up 50-100% daily and with no share movement type RNS statements being issued? | 6kenny
21/5/2009 16:02 | Shame we had to hit such a day. | debbiegee
21/5/2009 11:56 | Adding for the expected news. | love it
21/5/2009 11:43 | Dwyka Resources Another company that's been issued with a speeding ticket is Dwyka Resources, and yes, it's a deal. The former diamond explorer, now looking for nickel in sunny Burundi and gold in Swaziland, is undertaking due diligence on a third party that may lead to an offer by Dwyka. On May 13 Dwyka traded at 8 cents, yesterday it closed at 15 cents. Shares have been rising on the London AIM Board, where Dwyka has a listing. | andrbea
21/5/2009 11:43 | John, I hope so as I will load up big time. | 6kenny
21/5/2009 11:40 | looks like the rampers have left the building. back perhaps to 5p :[ | johnwalton

21/5/2009 10:38 | Hope we see some fireworks 6K. I'm happy to hold and accumulate for now. | bhindi123
21/5/2009 10:24 | bhindi, it's very clear. at present DWY is a cash rich explorer. Melissa has clearly stated she wants to buy a company that is near production. When done, what impact will that have on the sp? DWY suddenly going from a mere explorer to a revenue generating producer? It's not rocket science mate....this was 70-80p without this recent news so expect fireworks! | 6kenny
21/5/2009 09:33 | nicksig That's what I can't fathom. Why would OBT buy a stake in DWY only to relinquish a short while later ? In between, OBT went and got themselves a 29% stake in KDD. Something fishy going on - I think we have a love triangle ! 6K What I don't understand, the DWY shareprice is behaving as though it is the target of a takeover bid. Yet the company clearly state they are looking to make an acquisition of a producer (which OBT isn't). Hence my fuzzy logic suggests RTO. | bhindi123
21/5/2009 09:18 | bhindi, On the wrong track in my opinion. No reverse takeover but a takeover of another company which will get DWY to producer pronto as opposed to being an explorer. | 6kenny
21/5/2009 09:18 | OBT are valued at 50m GBP. Not inferring anything here, just saying! | jonny flame
21/5/2009 09:16 | Bhindi - how might this be related to Obtala selling their stake in DWY earlier this month? | nicksig
21/5/2009 09:15 | Any views welcome :- Could it be DWY are attempting a 'friendly' RTO on Obtala Resources (OBT), thus gaining 29% of Kopane Diamonds (KDD) as well ? A couple of months ago DWY were doing 'due diligence' on two companies. Now, according to yesterday's RNS, they're doing one. I suspect the due diligence on OBT is finished and now we're just waiting for KDD to be completed. If the above was the case could any of you experts out there suggest how the DWY shareprice would be affected ? | bhindi123
21/5/2009 09:00 | anyone selling at these levels need their heads examined unless they are buying into UNIQ....lol. | 6kenny
21/5/2009 08:57 | What are the online limits like? | nicksig
21/5/2009 08:57 | From The Times: Rumour of the day Dwyka Resources, the African mineral explorer with $10 million (£6.4 million) to spend on diversifying its assets, leapt 1p to 6.875p in seven times the usual trading volume, amid talk that it was close to acquiring an African gold or nickel deposit. There was also talk of Obtala Resources, which has a nickel deposit near Dwyka's, raising its 4.9 per cent stake. | thwaiteuk
