Form the Times tomorrow:

Rumour of the day

Dwyka Resources, the African mineral explorer with $10 million (£6.4 million) to spend on diversifying its assets, leapt 1p to 6.875p in seven times the usual trading volume, amid talk that it was close to acquiring an African gold or nickel deposit. There was also talk of Obtala Resources, which has a nickel deposit near Dwyka's, raising its 4.9 per cent stake.

Deep pockets and an ideal time to take advantage of a company that's undervalued.

Sturgess said that she would be spending Thursday talking to fund managers and mining investors in Johannesburg on the BHP Billiton gap the company would like to fill by attracting another "earn-in" investor.

Importantly, the company has £7,3-million in cash: "We did a financing just before the market crashed. I think we were the last junior in London to do a significant raising," Sturgess said.

At the current rate of "cash burn", the £7,3-million would last the company another five years, depending on what it decided to embark upon.

Sturgess said that the bulk of the company's shareholders were on the Aim and, for the last five years, Dwyka had only raised money on the Aim market.

MUNALI

The Munali nickel deposit is located approximately 60km south of Lusaka in southern Zambia. The project is well served by road, rail and powerinfrastructure as well as water supplies. Munali is 100% owned by Albidon. The project currently comprises two deposits, the Enterprise deposit, also referred to as the Munali Phase 1 project, and the Voyager deposit.

Personally I would be surprised if it was Minerva, unless they are just going for the Ethopian gold licenses.

We will soon find out but on an initial look at Minerva I would, in my humble opinion, discount them.
