And I agree that it would be far better to add if it dips below 44p which may happen this week. But I've sized my position and have what I want so will let all this noise and posters predictions (random number guesses imo) work it's way through the system

No, not because I'm anti DUKE but I just hate it as a method to raise funds

I have a sizeable position in Duke and am inclined to add to it when I think the time is right. But there are lots of moving parts currently and I’m going to pass on the PrimaryBid opportunity.

By my estimate still on a chunky premium to book value (c. 40%) for what is ultimately an investment company. Plenty of direct lending companies on big discounts so would need this to fall below 40p to tempt me.

Was offered too but don't know enough about the company to invest. Intrigued to see their plans and I may well join the party at another date. Good Luck

Nothing like paying a dividend and then pursuing a capital raise....

Business model still yet to be proven IMO as hasn't gone through a lifecycle yet. Management are running before they've shown they can walk

Not the end of the world - you have to accept these if you want to play this game. 6% discount is pretty normal - I've had two others in recent weeks and they have both been of this magnitude. Not a great fan of primary bid so will probably pass on this. -6% move in the share price would be noise if you step back and look at the normal volatility in this share. Price can of course go anywhere but would be surprised if it fell much more than this. In a few weeks this will likely be some distant memory

Edited my earlier post - having read details of the 2 RNSs - as I understand it, it is a £20m raise - placing to insts (£16.1M), offer via for PrimaryBid (up to £3.9M) and open offer to take up the balance of the £3.9M.

The offer via PrimaryBid was interesting until I read that you will not receive your shares until 31 Oct at the earliest - and possibly 2 weeks later. I'd prefer not to pump my cash into PrimaryBid and then to wait for up to 6 weeks until I am sure everyting is OK and I receive my shares.

The other angle is that if the market does go down in the meantime, you are sitting a loss before you can do anything about it.

I hope PrimaryBid is not fully subscribed, because it would be better for all of us PIs who want to subscribe for additional DUKE shares to do so in an open offer, in our SIPPS and ISAs, rather than risking cash through PrimaryBid.

Anyone know if Temarca has a similar problem?
