It's not in my head but this may persuade others. "I've tripled my money backing Britain’s unicorns".That's the enticing title of an article in the Daily Telegraph today. Interview with CEO, Martin Davis, behind a paywall.

Barrier is only that if it's in your head. I added recently and couldn't care less about 1000 level

There's often a psychological barrier to paying over a major milestone figure like 1000p but it's encouraging that it's been trading mostly at 980p or above. Once we've overcome that barrier for a few weeks then we should stay there. There hasn't been as much coverage as I expected after the move to the main market but I expect good news is not far away. This is my #1 holding and I'm in for the long term as the company is making all the right decisions on seed fund building and investment.

Share price is bouncing off the 1000p ceiling right now. Anyone taking profits? Premium must be quite large at this point.

Good luck bamboo2. I think it is likely to be akin to howling at the moon. I don't imagine anyone you are in touch with will have even the slightest sway on Halifax's policy. The very fact that you are interested in investing in shares like GROW suggest you are a sophisticated investor. Halifax's target market is not the sophisticated investor so they don't care.

Count me in Bamboo though I do bank with them and find them excellent. I do not use their share dealing however.

Why persevere? Move to someone who says yes not no.

I think I'll find out the name of the boss and make a complaint.

Does anyone here who commented mind if I tally up the number of PI's who agree the situation is ridiculous, to add weight to my argument?
edit, to save excess posting, I'll assume no one minds unless they say otherwise.

Yeah what nonsense. Agree you should Suggest they are no longer in your target market and move elsewhere. Who are they to tell you what you can or cannot buy!

You are their target market, surely? A customer! They earn nothing if you don't put your money on their platform. Just a ridiculous position to articulate. Can only suggest you move forthwith

Halifax SD phoned to say they have no plans to offer trading in GROW, re-iterating it is not in their target market.

What is their target market I wonder?

You can triple (and then some) that value for Freetrade - the US equivalent Robinhood is to IPO at $36bn!
I now wish I'd not cashed in half my Freetrade last month for a mere 36 bagger return!

That would suit us well as Draper has £20m+ of fair value in FreeTrade :-)

PS all of those of you who's brokers can't buy GROW should move soon. The likes of Freetrade will soon steal all their customers and the service will only get worse.

I use CS Direct and they are truly wonderful.

Welcome bamboo, I couldn't find the news item but I found a post on the Jim thread which mentioned it. It was G-S staff ISA's dealings.

GROW is not in the target market for HSD.

They are reviewing the situation in the light of recent changes to the listing and will let me know within two working days.

Melton, thanks, I will look into it.

Bamboo, I recently read a post on the Jarvis Securities JIM thread. Someone was saying how quick and painless transferring his ISA to X-O had been. I've been with them 20 yrs, they do lots of white-lable deals with building societies and LSE website plus a deal with Goldman-Sachs which I can't remember the details of, might be Sipp admin for staff. Not a shoe-string operation. I hold.

I will email Halifax sd over the weekend and post any reply here. It could be that they are just a bit slow off the mark.

Things got difficult with them following changes inspired by the introduction of MiFID II in 2018.

I can buy GROW through AJBell in my sipp, so it's not just me! I stick with HSD because of inertia, too big to fail, and the time taken to transfer.

Genuinely surprised about this Bamboo and I can't see any good reason for it on AIM or especially in the FTSE. Like jaws, it's never been a problem on Interactive Investor.

A New Dawn for Draper Esprit. Good morning fellow GROW investors, today is an exciting new phase in the growth of a spectacular company. Enjoy the ride :-)

"In conjuction with its move to the Main Markets, Draper Esprit has shared a number of investment stats, figures that are usually accompanied with the stamp “for eyes only” or “top secret”. Let’s dig in:

The firm has a current market value of approximately £1.4 billion, a number that is 11x higher than its initial listing value of £120 million just five years prior.

Draper Esprit has raised £619 million, and seen cash realisations of over £300 million, with £206 million occurring in the last full year alone. The firm has deployed over half a billion GBP (£550 million) into companies, and has an annual rate of deployment at around £200 million..."
