bigboyo has reminded us of a valid point and that's why management had another placing last June.That said,management have been clear about the new plan to open their own stores [as opposed to franchising] and the cash-flow implications so cash outflow should be no surprise.
They may need another fundraise at some point but I sense we might be reaching the tipping point in a year or so where internal cash flows can start to make a meaningful contribution.I await the results with interest.

of course cash is flowing out. How else do you build a business?

The spread will hurt those that jump in before results who want to bail out straight after.

Noted that the trading update gave all sorts of meaningless data but omitted 2 of the key indicators : net cash at period end and cashoutflow for period. Cash is STILL probably flowing out of the business in large quantities and these 2 measures are critical before making any investment decision. We will see what results day brings.

Incidentally, if you look back at all previous trading updates they are all the same, growth of double digits blah blah blah and yet when results actual come out you see the extent of cash leaking out of the business.

Yeah I agree maikan. In Peter Shaws own words in the results last September "but we must recognise the impact that new store openings will have on the bottom line before those stores hit breakeven".

reassuring rather than "fabulous" I would say,let's keep our sense of perspective.I don't see why it's better than last feb.e.g. total like for like order growth of 14% is lower than 19% reported last year.14% is good but not so amazing when you consider the immaturity of the business.

Price went up over 100% this time last year with a positive trading statement.This one seems even better then last February.
