08/8/2018 20:13 | I guess none of us really assessed Turkey risk. That was the main risk for the stock in hindsight. A bit of macro analysis would of paid off in spades. | trytotakeiteasy
08/8/2018 19:50 | Taking a Turkish bath here and hovering over the sell button. Dom in the doldrums too. Grrr! Suet | suetballs
23/7/2018 15:32 | Given currency issue and earnings downgrade this is now on a low 20's forecast P/E for 2019. It is only in 2020 that the forecast P/E falls below 20. So probably the shares will tread water until the market starts to focus on 2020 which is sometime away. | trytotakeiteasy
19/7/2018 06:08 | State of emergency in Turkey now over - that news could help a bit. Suet | suetballs
13/7/2018 13:11 | An ok update with no profit warning. Nothing amazing but nothing alarming. Russia now 30% of revenue. One to tuck away. But potential for an upset in Turkey hitting the business. Currency remains a headwind. Turkey could have an economic implosion at some point. | trytotakeiteasy
10/7/2018 09:41 | Turkey taking a turn for the worse. Lira off and Erdogan taking more direct control. We will have to see what happens. Business will be driven by Russia in a few years time. | trytotakeiteasy
09/7/2018 18:39 | Yes Friday 13th!!!! Suet | suetballs
04/7/2018 09:29 | Trading update in just over a week. | trytotakeiteasy
03/7/2018 17:11 | A better day at last. Suet | suetballs
02/7/2018 09:59 | I wonder if Russia doing well in the world cup will provide a boost. About 20% of stores are in Russia but it isn't making much of a profit contribution yet. | trytotakeiteasy
25/6/2018 08:48 | Not quite sure what these election results in Turkey mean for DPEU. I guess on a positive note you can say that there is decisive leadership and no disruption from a disputed election. On a negative note it appears that Turkey has become more autocratic. Turkish lira has recovered marginally. | trytotakeiteasy
20/6/2018 11:35 | Lots of selling today. You do get the impression that there could be a bad trading update ahead. Good company fundamentally but headwinds in Turkey, Russia I guess. We will have to see how the Turkish election plays out. | trytotakeiteasy

18/6/2018 11:05 | I wonder if World Cup in Russia will provide much a boost to their Russian business? We will find out in mid-July I guess. I think nearly all the stores are in Moscow. hxxps://dominospizza | trytotakeiteasy
11/6/2018 00:06 | Interesting how earnings estimates for 2018 have fallen from over 10p to 6.43p. Painful squeeze at the moment. | trytotakeiteasy
08/6/2018 09:18 | I think the election this month will be important in Turkey. However, Russian trading should be ok. If Turkish Lira rallies against sterling then this could also rally. | trytotakeiteasy
07/6/2018 19:50 | Chairman buys £50k of shares - a vote of confidence? Suet | suetballs
29/5/2018 08:08 | Russia doesn't make any money for them yet. This is a bet on Turkey for the next three years. | trytotakeiteasy
28/5/2018 13:51 | Maybe the world cup will help pizza sales. But currency is a major issue. Staying invested for the long haul. Suet | suetballs
24/5/2018 17:41 | Oops Suet | suetballs
21/5/2018 14:41 | hmm... Turkish lira meltdown and prospects of major issues in Turkey have clearly hit sentiment here.. It looks like Turkey could be heading towards an emerging market meltdown. | trytotakeiteasy
16/4/2018 10:18 | Annual report published but not on the website. A bit frustrating. They say it is in the Morningstar national storage mechanism. Not very useful. Found it. Annual report is under the heading of Presentation. A bit confusing. | trytotakeiteasy
09/4/2018 18:26 | I did think at the time that this would be a stock to buy after an issue in that part of the world: Russia/Turkey. But this risked missing out. However, it now looks like Russia will be under pressure for a fair while. Higher risk currencies: Turkey and Russia are selling off. The underlying franchise of Domino's Pizza maybe good but clearly Turkey/Russia are high risk countries. I wasn't sure what to make of the results given so many adjustment figures. In hindsight I should of just sold on the results. It now looks like it will take until 2019 for the P/E to fall to a around say 24X. Headwinds mean that even this could be in doubt. Turkey are Russia are not modern countries and setting up a Domino's in them is not easy. Not exactly like Domino's Pizza UK!!!! | trytotakeiteasy
09/4/2018 17:48 | tttie - as you say lots of headwinds at the moment. With hindsight my entry timing was poor but hopefully this will be ok long term. Suet | suetballs
09/4/2018 12:07 | I think the risks for this stock are unfortunately coming through. Russia, Syria and currency movements. Turkish Lira and Russian rouble have both weakened against sterling. There are likely to be further sanctions against Russia. Russia may also grow more corrupt under Putin over the next 5 years. Net debt to EBITDA ratio is only 1X. However, all cashflow will be used for expansion. DPEU could do well long-term but it will probably be a bumpy ride. | trytotakeiteasy |
