I'm answering you late here topvest, but in case you haven't seen it by now they say they are intending to liquidate.

From the circular :-

"The Directors expect that the Company will remain dormant for
the foreseeable future pending its liquidation. The Directors expect
that the Company will be in a position to make further distributions
prior to the liquidation of the Company, whether by way of
dividend, tender offer or otherwise."

Yes, just had it come through in the post. Good news. Be interesting what happens to the residual shell. No mention of plans at this stage. Could be put into liquidation or be used as a shell I guess.

Douglasbay have announced a tender offer with a tight deadline (5 November).

The offer is for 69 out of 100 shares at a tender price of 12.21 pence per share.

I just hope the brokers in whose nominee accounts I hold DBAY shares will be able to process this corporate action in time.

Cash on books 9.8p

Shares cost 9.8p

That is a great deal.

Company worth 13.2p a share [total assets.]

A very safe way to wait 6 months for a 30% return

OR

An RTO to get a return that way.!

Plus no fears of a loss as they have the share price in cash right now.!!

This is no 1 on the loser board today, off 40%, at 8.5p yet one will get
that in cash and more later on, [up to 13.2p.]

OR an RTO in which cash will be used for a deal and that deal should lift shareholder value.!!

Thus i have been buying.!

It will be interesting to see what the next move will be here. Looks like another deal may not be too far away. I've had all my original back, so holding the residual shares for the fun!

Circular and accounts today. A good return for shareholders, given their purchase timing of TDG was so unfortunate - a week before the Lehmans collapse. Be interesting to see what the next deal is.

Completion announced. VCF are expecting a distribution, so an announcement here on release of value must be imminent.

Yes, will have to wait and see. Circulars are bound to be imminent, as Value Catalyst have promised a cash return.

Final agreement now in place.
Proceeds 14.3p in cash.
Wonder what will happen to this.
Will Laxey deman it back.
If so, company is probably sub economic.

Take a look at VCF, Laxey own 95% of DBAY, and it is the major part of VCF NAV....
