Something posted on another website: Interesting point on Domino's about new competition. I think about 80% of what Domino's sells is through discounts though so the headline pizza prices are misleading. Also Domino's have a higher end Italiano range. The main focus of Domino's is joined up delivery especially at peak times or after restaurants close. When Franco Manco is busy on a Friday night I doubt you could get orders for takeaway completed quickly. Domino's also aim to deliver a hot pizza while a Deliveroo person with Franco Manca is likely to struggle. I agree that the backdrop has become more competitive but I wouldn't necessarily write-off Domino's yet. I think you do have a point on the taste front though. Domino's and the other fast food chains make the dough etc in large processing sites and then send it to the stores. This isn't exactly the same as making a pizza fresh in house. With regard to Franco Manca it seems like a good brand and the pizzas look nice. So probably there is still a place for Domino's. If all the nasty takeaways that provide food for Just Eat (they don't look great most of them) can do well then there must be a market for Domino's!!!!! However, I have to admit I wouldn't eat a Domino's pizza myself.

Held that 266p support on a bad market day. DOM the only blue one in my portfolio today. The other seventeen all red, -0.9% , worst day for a long time.

Deliveroo, JustEat and UberEats I think will soon have to pay their drivers more. Domino's isn't really affected by a skills shortage as it doesn't take much skill to make their pizzas. UK population up 6.5% in 2016 to 65.8m. Biggest annual increase on record. Helps the demand backdrop somewhat.

Could have been worse , almost bought some CLLN last week :-O 4.7 million traded.... wishful thinking , DOM support @ 266p ?? Nothing new really... Even if results aren't great the company should announce a large share buy-back with the interims

Domino in Poland aka DP Poland continues deliver good result as sales rising. I suppose the expansion plan in Europe should be doing well. Hence this caused the pricing going north.

Glimmer of light at the end of a very dark tunnel....or just the weeks short sellers closing some profit for the weekend ahead of another attack on Monday. Sorry for the skepticism but difficult to know what the hell is happening with this one day by day.

It`s a real head scratcher pb , that 250p is acting like a magnet. It`s a dead period as well for another eighteen days.

We are in free fall here, my biggest concern now is what results we get on the 25th? Surely difficult LFL period must be priced in now or are we going to get another kicking? I've given up calling the bottom on this stock.

WTF is happening here? With TU coming up in couple of weeks time this should be heading north not south. Market manipulation and shorting is killing this share. Having said that with the TU coming up on 25th, I recon this will start heading north any minute now.

Now lost all my profit and a small bit more. Thought of selling recently but I think that we are near the bottom (I hope) so I am going to stick with it. Suet

Looks like the shorters want this down to at least 250p. They've got it by the cobblers at the moment ;-)

265 is a level but then the next are indeed 250 and 237 ! The latter being a huge one way back in 2013 & 2015

I'd guess a serious chartist would make the 250p call ;-) I just find it weird that out of two brokers (very well paid), one (Numis) can say that a company is worth double what the other one (Liberum) says. Out of the eighteen companies in my portfolio I can't find anything near that in the broker coverages.
