Interesting to see that the buyer of Triopetra is Saudi backed.

I'm happy to see the "rump" sold, as it cleans it up, and particularly pleased to see assets aren't been giving away. I would, however, like to see Kilada sold, but that's probably not going to happen until all the consents are in place.

Does feel like they're finally starting to make progress - and no nasty surprises as yet. If they keep getting premiums to carrying value......................

Not quite the asset I hoped for when I saw Disposal in the announcement header, but nevertheless, another one gone, and at a pleasing price.

Probably not the day for it mind!

"The Disposal consideration of EUR4.1m is equal to the DCI historic investment cost and represents a premium to the Triopetra Net Asset Value after Deferred Income Tax Liabilities included in DCI's financial statements as at 30 June 2017. "

Agreed, always a suspicion it's "keep it going & milk it" when it takes so long. Hopefully it'll be like DNE - appalling lack of doing anything for an age, now it feels like capital returns every few months.

I've tried to do some more research this weekend, but not having any accountancy background, I'm struggling to understand the implications of sales on the balance sheet (amongst other things), and with a Variable Management Fee, I'm not sure how much of the proceeds of sales will accrue to shareholders.

As mentioned in my previous post, I would like to think that Aristo could be shifted in the short-term, and with an improving position, and might we dare think that it could be done at a premium to the previously agreed price.

Planning news on Kilada Hills, and Apollo Heights is overdue, so it's possible we may get some "flow" soon. Hopefully it will be good news.

I'm feeling a little more confident than previously, but not certain that the company is being run for the benefit of shareholders.

I wonder if we might see Aristo sold soon, now Aristodemou is in the clear.

hxxp://cyprus-mail.com/2017/12/14/court-finds-former-bank-cyprus-chief-guilty-market-manipulation/

The Nicosia criminal court on Thursday found Bank of Cyprus (BoC) and its former CEO Andreas Eliades guilty of the charge of market manipulation through misleading statements to investors about the lender’s capital shortfall in June 2012.
The other defendants – former deputy CEO Yiannis Kypri, former board chairman Theodoros Aristodemou, his successor Andreas Artemi, and head of Greek operations Yiannis Pehlivanides – were cleared of all charges.

A bit of activity at 7.5p, and hopefully a bit more upside to come.

Let's see if they return the cash this time!

Yes, we get the message...lol...

It's not one of the big assets, but it is still a very welcome sale, and at what appears to be a very acceptable price.

I like this word... premium!

It's at a premium to the current carrying value so that's a big tick:
"The Disposal consideration of EUR15m represents a 7.5% premium to Sitia Bay's Net Asset Value ("NAV") after Deferred Income Tax Liabilities ("DITL") of EUR14m included in DCI's financial statements as at 30 June 2017."

The weirdo payment plan is a big negative tho! Purchaser clearly not got the money yet.

Overall, with where DCI trading in relation to NAV, I'm looking on the sunny side.

not sure what to make of that statement, it's good that they're managed to sell something i suppose, but the value agreed in the previous MOU (which fell through) was E17.2m, wich was equal to the 2015 NAV.

thanks tilton, i'll put it on the travel bucket list. i've never been to that part of Africa myself, only a few of the Northern states mainly due to work, and sadly, I wouldn't recommend any of them. i popped to Morocco last year, and found that disappointing - i had high hopes with it (apparently) being more forward thinking but those hopes were dashed by the 1.5 hours wait to get through passport control/customs (not ideal for a long weekend trip), and there was nothing massively appealing once we got through the other side. getting food poisoning didn't help either!

Here's a bit about them (in their own words. They are value investors

There international section has a heading "value in riskier small caps". Fits DCI presumably.

Absolutely, and it's something I put great store in. I just hope they can get above book when they sell it.
