Think we need an update though from DM itself, although must admit that I missed the 104.5k buys todays. The MM have a habit of not raising the price on buys, especially in the beginning, cause they think that the buying is just a blip.
But when they find out if it is not just a blip, then the price goes up rapidly.

However I have no doubt DM update will be positive, but we do need more clarification of how - the existing business is doing, along with the DLG, and PDV, along with the link up with Party Gaming.

Then we could see a shift in the share price I am looking for 12p by the end of September, but then there is no logic in the stockmarket. The update may not be till next month though. I would be really surprised though if DM share price at the end of this year was only 9p though.

This is an unnoticed, unloved stock at present.

No more coffee at Coffee Republic then. I was a fan of the Reading branch up to January 2007, until it was run by others.

None of the faithful pick up on this below?:-

The Group's strategy remains on-track and I am pleased that many of the seeds we have sown over the past year are now beginning to bear fruit. The improvements to our poker product and loyalty programme, the addition of INTRALOT to our Italian poker network and the launch this week of bingo and casino for DM plc are clear examples of this.

...so bingo and casino now up and running at DM. I think its a positive sign so added another 50k.

empirestate - sure it will be a good move.

The stock is surely unloved at present, maybe the phrase should be unnoticed or forgot about, but maybe not for too much longer.

The link on was it PDV was extremely encouraging, an acorn the the making all on its own.

Those who wait will be rewarded I am sure.
Other punters will be wishing that they
had DMP on their radar screen earlier
as now is the time to buy, not after the
price starts moving radically and stock become short.

Looks like we may have to wait until at least August for any more news.
Surely a waiting game, but we could be well rewarded when it does come.

empirestate - hope you are right, as this is my main holding, and I have total faith in the ability of management of DMP to continue the good work of the last 3 years.

This stock is out of the limelight at present, and with the progress currently being made on the two acquisitions, the share price must be cheap, but when is the stock market ever logical. I agree that the jam tomorrow could be here shortly.

they might give a trading update in july ahead of the interims at end of august
which should really light things up. have the same level of confidence that by the time the results come out the share price should be double todays level.

It is a waiting game now for more news. However I am confident in the outcome of the acquired companies making a good contribution towards profits. The stock is lowly rated and it is only a matter of time before the share price gets rerated. I have total faith in management after being in this company for 3 yeas now.

empirestate - Probably needed the cash for their holidays, another car, or whatever.

I agree though - not the time to sell. Results in early September should give some indicatin of updated figures for the year, and I would be very surprised if they do not please.

The jam tomorrow, although a long time coming, may not be too far away now. I can see DMP getting rerated some time in the future maybe in the next fews months.

DM plc
("DM" or the "Group")

AGM Statement

DM, the direct marketing group specialising in customer recruitment and database
management, held its Annual General Meeting today and all resolutions were duly
passed.

At the meeting, Chairman, Adrian Williams, made the following statement:

"Despite the obvious challenges in 2008, the Group delivered a robust trading
performance and the acquisition of DLG represented a substantial step forward.

In April of this year we announced the acquisition of PDV Ltd, an online and
offline lead generation business to further enhance the Group's newly expanded
Database Management division. At the same time as the acquisition of PDV we also raised GBP1 million to improve the Group's the financial strength.

The integration of DLG and PDV is proceeding well and has strengthened the
Group's strategy to become a market leading fully integrated off and online lead
generation, direct marketing business. We look forward to the future with
confidence."

Earl Stickland - cant default my timing on my latest buy, made up the spread difference already. DMP has always been a stock with potential being on a low pe ratio, and having increasing profits each of the last 4 years.

One thing why punters should hold is why? The management delivers the goods, and know their stuff in this particular market. They can't be faulted to date.

Are the MM short of stock? A few buys and the bid price has gone from 7.5p to 9p. Price now is 9 / 10p not bad I would say, and the herd has not come in as yet, but DMP is on advfn.com top movers board now.

The herd hasn't even come in as yet! Eyes down!

guru - yes, done my buying before the herd comes a stampeding!...I wish!

One of my buys earlier in the month was 25k @ 7.7p - try getting 25k now
and especially if the trading update is positive.

725 (Including this one) posts in a month shy of 3 years since this thread started suggests a somewhat depleted herd, imo.

Jeff H - thanks - bid price today is now 8.5p -
SP firming up, and could well go higher.

The trading update should be positive,
the only negative thing might be the overall countries situation,
but I think that positive news on the acquired companies will more than out weigh any negative news.

No good buying with the herd when the price is on the way up!
Cause the herd could well come in after the trading update
or when the recommendations for the stock appear.

The 53k buy was mine this morning. Are we at the bottom now?

As a result PDV grew by 50% last calendar year and has had three-budget breaking months since." The article found by Jeff H was a good find on PDV and shows exception reading for the way forward (wasn't the last 3 month revenue at record levels?), and with good proven management - who are not really being appreciated at this stage - and remembering DLG was in a break even situation last January, and we could be looking at a trading update soon, DMP could well, or should well be rerated from a historic pe of just 5.

Is now the time to buy?
I think it is and have backed my words up with pure cash today.
I may be a qualified mortgage broker, but I am not a qualified financial advisor although I do have lot more experience than Joe Blogs, so make your own judgement. The jam here has been a long time coming, but I am sure one day with DMP the share price will be rerated even though it may be in a dull sector. There is a lot going on at DMP at present, when it all jells together then the share price could well rise.

Jeff H - nice find - does look very encouraging for PDV just on its own.

It is a shame about the spread, sorry I was going to say that it was 7 / 8.5p but doing a dummy trade it is now in fact 7.5 / 8.5p. That is the thing with some companies no news for ages, no profit forecast then suddening what could happen with DMP - a glowing update to come, and a share price hike to 9 / 10p.
I am seriously thinking of topping up.

guru - buying limited to small quantities maybe due to I snaffled a fair
few over the last few weeks!

We'll have to see what the Trading Update brings, though my logic for adding
to my stake is that they wouldn't have bought PDV if they weren't making progress with DLG.

DLG, PDV, Partygaming JV...exciting times perhaps.

Oh here's a bit about PDV:-

I liked the bit about moving to Watford (cost savings) and the 3 "budget breaking months" of Jan-Mar 2009

Jeff H - Buying with iDealing online is now limited to 5,000 shares, although one could always phone them up for them to get a price for more than this limit.
Last 3 trades have been buys. I can't help feeling that this is treading water at present, but when the trading update comes that we could be seeing 9p / 10p.
DLG was in a break even situation in January now we are in May. Is not DMP on a pe currently of just 5, so any improvement in eps must shift the share price.
