20/12/2018 08:44 | Tested the post update low and bounced, low could be in, for now. | tim 3
19/12/2018 17:23 | "More specifically, it asked the telecoms regulator to prevent mobile providers charging pay-monthly customers the same rate once they've effectively paid off their handsets at the end of the minimum contract period." I suspect there is a hell of a lot of this going on. | tim 3
14/12/2018 23:11 | Must admit the 4 point plan does contain a hell of a lot of "corporate speak" and appears not to have a great deal of substance he actually uses the the horrible phrase "joined up" 8 times! | tim 3
14/12/2018 17:59 | chart decline from 483.36 in jan 16 to 136.5 currently with slashed dividend | joosepi
14/12/2018 17:33 | Read the so called turnaround plan they must have employed JK Rowling to produce it. Car Phone Warehouse a one time prime now a dud. IMO | joosepi
14/12/2018 16:05 | No support now. Needs to bounce | knowing
13/12/2018 15:19 | PS prime for a short position IMHO | joecase
13/12/2018 15:17 | All puff and blow, that's all the new business plan amounts to(spend your way into an even deeper hole)Realistically it's just another high street basket case being rubbed out by amazon. Like a lot of these retailers comet etc couldn't see the now Trillion dollar amazon crawling all over them. My view share slide slow and sure. | joecase
12/12/2018 12:34 | or worse ? | ignoble
12/12/2018 10:07 | Dixons look like its finally coming to an end, another poorly run capital destructive dividend cutting rubbish ftse 250 basket case, its not just internet either, brexit destroying uk, trashed currency making stock more expensive to buy and people poorer due to inflation so less to spend, toxic mix, UK heading for hardcore recession. | porsche1945
12/12/2018 10:07 | UK&I Mobile Mobile is central to our vision. It is the most important category for us, it is our largest, and the most important product to customers and where we are still number one in the market. But it is loss making and we need to change that. Our challenges are well understood in the market, i.e. reduced handset volumes and mix changes, have resulted in declining share for us. And our profitability has been impacted by mix, contractual pressure and an inflexible cost base. So they make a loss on mobile? that surprises (and worries) me. | tim 3
12/12/2018 09:38 | Mobile continues to cause problems. Little detail about the deals he has negotiated with the providers with more people buying online directly from the providers or from their own outlets its more profitable for them to cut out the middle man. Have doubts about his focus on credit too, it has been tried before sure its profitable but in this day and age people prefer to just put it on their card rather than paying over 3 years with an eye watering 25% interest. I predict Christmas trading will be ok but with pressure on margins. All this with a backdrop of brexit and all the pressures on the high street its hard to see what will drive these higher. | tim 3
12/12/2018 08:21 | Dividend cut of 40%. PBT expectations at £300m for full year, and IMO only as long as xmas trading goes as they expect or claim to expect. | nick rubens
12/12/2018 07:56 | In fairness 1.7b market cap seems over priced based on H1 | supercity
12/12/2018 07:51 | Agreed - a good excuse to drive price down | peea01
12/12/2018 07:39 | At first glance those figures don't look very good | supercity
11/12/2018 09:20 | Back at longterm support. | tim 3
16/11/2018 10:11 | Support levels,150p & 170p, need that vote in Parliament to bring late cheer to retail. Everyone is Brexited out, time to move forward with renewed confidence. | ny boy
13/11/2018 22:37 | Quite a clever "we will refund the difference if it comes down" black Friday promotion will cost them hardly anything as most items are not reduced for the event and many that are are so ridiculously overpriced now in order to show a saving nobody would buy them anyway. | tim 3
06/11/2018 08:50 | Who is reducing their holding . | montyhedge
31/10/2018 19:31 | What happened? | tim 3
31/10/2018 19:27 | Huh, I always thought these lot differentiated themselves by offering great in store service. If my experience at their Wolves Dudley St branch is anything to go by they're on to a loser... very poor, probably should have noticed their 2.1 / 5 Google reviews rating first :/ | rathean
10/10/2018 15:37 | I think we can see where the buyers are! | tim 3 |
