31/12/2020 11:03 | Berny - as one of the longest contributors to this thread, what's your target? PM me if you don't wish to disclose publicly. | clermontace
31/12/2020 11:03 | Ca give us a figure | janekane
31/12/2020 11:00 | What we can begin to deduce is that the stock is now largely being held by those long term tough-nuts who can envisage a happy ending and who will sit it out. We're at well over a year high and no one is selling. No hot money. Stale bulls all but gone it seems. Fresh buyers arriving taking up new positions - understandably - when the business looks in it's best shape to date. If this company delivers in the way I think it might, there will have to be some serious uplift here for people to sell. I do not think a double digit share price is out of the question in 2021. | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:54 | Still mid price on the bid for sizeable volume. | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:53 | 100 shares on offer at 2.175p | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:47 | Agreed. Very few available now. | lr2
31/12/2020 10:46 | Calling any stale bulls looking in: 2.1p (mid price) available on the bid for volume, if you want out. | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:36 | Berny3 - like it or not, it's the way the vast majority of people buy and sell. It's cheap, efficient and usually immediate. Obviously the more liquid the stock and the more MM's the better....both are open to change. | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:28 | Ok thanks LR2. Looks like they've found a batch to sell. Thanks for the heads up. | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:27 | LR that is a good point. Trading online you are trading a market within a market. All your orders are channeled through the online traders pipes before it hits the market. I am not a fan of online trading. Just because you online platform can not trade is a reflection of their market within the market. It is not a reflection of the market as a whole | berny3
31/12/2020 10:27 | I note your edit. | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:25 | They've just opened slightly, noted. How many are you able to buy? | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:24 | LR2 - I take exception to that. I am not attempting to mislead people. My posts reflect accurately what my trading platform is offering. Limits change, but I'm still unable to buy volume at present. | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:22 | There's plenty available online. Please don't attempt to mislead people. Buy 300000 DIS - DISTIL PLC ORD GBP0.001 at a price of 2.185p | lr2
31/12/2020 10:17 | Can not even buy 500 shares online. Big premium asked if going direct to the broker. | clermontace
31/12/2020 10:09 | Any tired old bulls looking at the open gate can leave now, should they so wish. Buyers willing and waiting in the wings for any spilled stock. | clermontace
31/12/2020 09:17 | A broker is not a market maker Ca yes I know that but thanks for your support | janekane
30/12/2020 23:14 | janekane. A broker is not a market maker. The 500K trade is easy enough to work out. Demand is increasing and supply isn't huge. This is why we are rising. The interesting questions to ask are around why demand increasing (?) It's because the business is starting to perform and inherent brand value is now well ahead of the sluggish market cap which is behind the curve. We're also gapping up on technicals as outlined by Berny. The questions are, how has DIS faired in Q3 and what can Roland Grain bring to the table in 2021? I see some the potential for some leftfield developments and good organic growth. Remember, DIS has proven that it can grow sales very well under lockdown through off license / supermarket sales. If such restrictions are eased, and people begin to travel and drink as they did, we have duty free yet to kick back in too. I see liquid / distillery / bottling developments ahead and improvements to margins as well as increased distribution........ | clermontace
30/12/2020 22:56 | I concur with much of that Berny. The share price is currently sitting on a breakout and it will be interesting to see what the next few sessions bring. I think it's set to go on a good run which is why I've been buying what I can, although as we've all found, buying decent chunks (and by decent I mean 500K+) has not been easy. The all important Q3 trading update usually arrives in the first few weeks of January. Some resistance is possible at around 2.75p as you point out, but I think this level will be breached well before further news-flow. In fact, that's what I'm calling. If the next RNS is as upbeat as we hope and if the Q3 figures are compelling, I see a new trading range established at well above 3p.....and that would be fair. The rum is currently priced for nothing. And as I've said, even a share price of 8p would only value it at around £40M. It's a good brand and is very pleasant to drink. And we know, as the fastest growing rum brand for many consecutive years that it has started to chip away at market share.....and will do more so as the business begins to return heftier sums of cash. The company is in much better shape than it was in 2017 when the stock last rallied strongly. It is debt free, increasing net profit and is now returning cash. The best brand has outperformed its respective sector by a considerable margin. It hasn't been the most exciting build under Dong Goulding, but to be fair he has managed the business carefully and prudently and built a great platform for future growth. Personally I think Roland Grain's recent 20% acquisition and appointment to the BOD is highly tactical and probably represents the beginning of the next phase of Distil's growth. I fully expect developments on that front and feel sure that DIS will benefit from his presence. With 20% of the business he is certainly incentivised. As you can see, we're a very quiet thread with few contributors. Hot money bailed on the drop last year and since then stale bulls have all but left during the incremental climb in 2020. Any stock released will get quickly bought up in my opinion as demand is returning along with the potential for some sustainable growth. A healthy half a million in the kitty at the last count I believe and it will be interesting to see how much cash will be generated in H2. Good luck. | clermontace
30/12/2020 22:39 | JK are you sure that was a sell? Just asking. Even Advfn has cancelled it from accumulative volume. | berny3
30/12/2020 22:24 | As predicted this morning at 08.00 500000 sell order placed with his broker /market maker hence the large buy orders filled and the massive rise More of the same tomorrow morning before 12 30 will be a nice finish to 2020 | janekane
30/12/2020 21:44 | swim, interesting graph. Using basic gap theory combined with the company in a far better position than it was in 2017. There is an above average probability that at minimum the gap between the previous high and now will be filled. That being so would mean 75% upside from here. In my opinion the gap down from where the redline touches the graph mid 2019, was caused by liquidity issues in the Milton fund and them being a forced seller. Now both Milton fund and Howard’s holding (an unexpected seller) have been cleared it makes sense that gap has been filled. And as we are in an above average probability of positive news flow hence we should see the gap filled back up to previous highs. Resistance at 2.75 but good news would likely push things through that forming a base at 2.75. Good luck all for 2021. | berny3
