22/1/2018 14:13 | My local Asda in London has 4 rows of Redleg, the Tesco has 2 rows and Morrison's has 6 with an end of row display. I travel quite frequently and have seen them stocked in stores throughout the UK, including Scotland, Wales.. Midlands, North and on the South coast. | bprofit
22/1/2018 14:01 | This really is quite easy to explain. ASDA et al have distribution centres all over the nation, and stock at all of these is going to be a bit different from each other, presumably based on local demand. I assume that ASDA.com and similar will determine your rough location from your IP address so they know what distribution centre you are near. If the item is in stock at your distribution centre, then that link will show stock. In my case, I click the link and I see 'item unavailable'. For the avoidance of doubt I live in the Midlands and not the Outer Hebrides. | boffster
22/1/2018 13:46 | Actually, I imagine he's got a very much hands on role. There's only half a dozen employees all told. | suneday
22/1/2018 13:26 | Thank you CI maybe Boff is spelling Asda wrong. | berny3
22/1/2018 13:18 | I've just Googled "ASDA" and "Redleg" and this is what I got :- | chinese investor
22/1/2018 13:13 | Interesting in Morning Star - interesting how they get fair value does it explain. | berny3
22/1/2018 13:11 | Some Chunky Buys There - 2p Soon ! | chinese investor
22/1/2018 13:06 | Boff your lack of experience in a directos role especially that of a listed company is telling. Now your story is back to you not being able to find Redleg online with Asda when numerous posters have provided links. I note you are yet to provide a link showing you can’t get it. Your story changes with the wind. Are you paid by the number of posts or replies you get. You sound like a hack. | berny3
22/1/2018 12:17 | Its not 'nonsense' to say that 'The Don' is paying himself a very handsome near-£150k pa wedge to head up a barely profitable AIM tiddler, whilst having very little in the way of equity stake. Neither is it nonsense to say that I can't buy RedLeg on ASDA.com. When I am passing by the local ASDA superstore next, I shall call in and see if it is on the shelf. | boffster
22/1/2018 11:32 | A Rogue Trade ! This Will Recover Quickly ! | chinese investor
22/1/2018 11:22 | Does anyone know of any reputable analyst following DIS? I don't usually take much notice of other folk's targets, but as it's quiet here it might be of passing interest to discuss. FWIW, I've got share price T4.0p end FY2019, but obviously it's only a calculated hope/guess. I'm already comfortably retired so I'm not actually reliant on it. Although I hesitated long and strong before risking setting this hare running, I wouldn't altogether discount the possibility of the whole lot being sold off once the major groundwork has been completed. GL, pete EDIT: Morning Star currently has Dis fair value at 1.86p | petersinthemarket
22/1/2018 11:05 | Mny Tks for the numbers Berny. Continues to look like a sound company to me, though still waiting for take-off. All this solid ground work is very professional, if a bit frustrating. I'm hanging in there and adding a little more at this sp, even though the size of the holding already looks a bit frightening. pete | petersinthemarket
22/1/2018 09:56 | DC line fill on 520 new outlets should pick revenue growth up a couple of percent in final quarter. Normally a quiet time of year as well. Would be good to get Blackwoods Gin alongside Redleg in the ontrade too. If a US distribution deal can be completed before March end would also increase expectations on final year results too. | berny3
22/1/2018 09:43 | getting high margin Blackwoods more widely distributed is a good move. I'm convinced they have been restricted in increasing distribution of the 2012 vintage due to supply constraints and I reckon the new 2017 vintage has, along with all the marketing spiel, also been developed with increased volume in mind. | dietcoke197
22/1/2018 07:36 | Concerning US and time taking for distribution deal. Getting new Blackwoods bottle and gins out could have been a contributing factor. Need to do some analysis on impact of 520 new outlets for Gin. Interested to find out if Gin is getting into Waitrose, Tesco or Asda. Need to keep look out for this. From my figures 1% improvement in Gross Margin equates to £54K bottom line. The company is very well geared to get significant can’t improvement in profitability from an increase in volume. | berny3
22/1/2018 07:30 | You do talk nonsense Boff. You seem extremely focused on posting negative things about Distil whilst not holding any stock. Are you bored and drinking too much? When was the last time you posted on any other stock other than Distil? Very strange. One has to questions one’s motive. | berny3
21/1/2018 23:37 | Here's a chuckle, your hero Mr. Goulding is on £144k/year! (well, thats from last year's accounts, its probably more now!) Not a bad screw, that! I'd be quite happy to tell folk that Redleg is worth a fortune, if it kept the placing money coming in and me on the gravy train! Nearly 10% of revenue and 14 times last year's profit! And where's his shareholding if Distil is reckoned to be the bee's knees? I'm downgrading this from 'avoid' to 'bargepole' | boffster
21/1/2018 19:00 | PIM - been through the numbers and come up with the following thoughts on expectations. EST FY Revenue £1,979 EST GP £1,110 Advertising £463 Admin £521 Share Exp £12 Depreciation £6 Profit £107 | berny3
21/1/2018 07:49 | Fevertree tweeting about how good Redleg rum is. | berny3
21/1/2018 07:21 | Boff as per my previous post Blackwoods Gin is not stocked by Tesco country wide. It is stocked in Scotland and I believe it can be found in a select few stores in UK. Redleg is listed in Asda. You have stated you can’t get it online and stated you can’t get it in your local store. Online availability has bee shown to you that it is available. What size Asda store are you referring to and what location? Concerning the US distribution if you did your own research rather than throwing claims and assertions over a distribution market you do not understand you will know more and understand the situation. I feel you are not genuine as you are trying an aged old strategy to distable a market. Personally I am still ahead by 90ish percent but see continued prosperity in the company. Gladly there are many educated individuals on this board. | berny3
21/1/2018 04:42 | Here is to spirited future...Distil Plc is one of the very few stocks on AIM that has positive balance sheet and poised to go from strength to strength. Rome was not built in a day and no business can. Share prices can go up and down depending on supply and demand criteria. I am glad short term opportunistic traders have left Distil to make room for serious long term investors. Distil is a rising star (not falling star!). | acdc52
21/1/2018 00:32 | It would be a helluva lot less effort than continually posting on here asking! | texas_caddy
20/1/2018 22:27 | Because I'm not a shareholder and I don't want to buy it. | boffster
20/1/2018 17:30 | Boffster - just a thought. If you're so interested in why you can't get Redleg where you are, why don't you contact Asda or Distil? | texas_caddy |
