I'm out completely now. If the share price drops a fair bit it'll be worth a punt in case TW does get his act together, but as I said before, looks a longer term punt.

Dudish also says:

"First Majestic (TSX) 80% gold/20% silver".

In fact they are primarily a silver producer, with 90% of their revenues from silver sales.

By coincidence I already hold the 4 silver companies they invested in. But I still have DXR in my SIPP as it is a simple and convenient way of betting on silver in addition to whatever they can find to add value.

The Minesite presentation is going to be seen by a relatively small number of people. I fail to see how that is going to attract buyers, and therefore drive the share price An RNS does not cost £45k, or anywhere close to it, and is the best way to publicise the direction the business is heading. I'm not looking for daily updates, but news on major investments (i.e. committing 2/3rds of available cash) should be disseminated to the wider market in an attempt to attract investors and drive volume.

In terms of DXR, I will continue to hold at this stage. I'm at a small profit, and as I was hoping the investments are highly geared to the price of silver which I expect to fly in 2011. TW's PR and presentation skills leave something to be desired, but they weren't the reason I took a stake here in the first place.

Cheers
Jay

Dudishes,

A RNS announcement costs in the low hundreds of £'s. Around £125ish rather than £45K.

Forgot to mention, TW reads these boards apparently. Bet he is afraid to post!

marab: took a note of the AHG and DXR investments from the U tube presentation video. Possibly the only source of this info?

AHG: Ascot (Major investment in p/f), African Cons Res (Zimbabwe!), Ariana, Archipelago, Chaarat Gold, Conroy D, Gale & Prosper PM, Hambledon, Kryso, Metallarm, Minera, Norseman, Olympus Pacific, Ortac, Ovoca Gold, Pan African Res, VGM, Volta Resources, First Majestic, Great Panther. Completely invested. No of holdings stated as 17/18 but seems to be 20 here.

DXR: First Majestic (TSX), Kootenay Gold (TSX), 200k warrants in Ascot Mining @ 20p (nice price), Silver Wheaton, Great Panther. Two thirds invested so far, 100% investment planned.

Ascot is of course gold, so evidently exceptions to the silver rule allowed (v wise imo).

Quality of presentation appalling. TW, always wanting to be laid back, appeared unprepared/jet lagged/uninterested. Can only hope that his team are more dynamic!

jaylett, TW said you could judge DXR by AHG which was a few months ahead. Only one investment has been named there.

telbap, the Minesite presentation seemed to indicate that TW was just buying shares in quoted companies although he also said that only 2/3 had been invested. There was no obvious indication of any interesting financing arrangements that would add extra value. There may be some, but as no details were forthcoming, it's hard to make a judgement.

vikingben, my feelings exactly.

I had great hopes for my investment here, but had to take losses today,
sold my lot, expected news 30 secs after egm on 7/1/11,
rns will probably be out tomorrow now that i have sold my entire holding,

will keep an eye on DXR, but would need something positive from management to come back in

I only had 100k of these but sold down half today. The other 50k only owe me 1.5p per share, so I'll let those ride....because it's all taking too long with no indication of any news soon.

What an uninspiring presentation by TW. Would be more exciting to be slapped around the head with a Manx kipper.

I have just bought a small holding. Mine site presentation interesting but it appears to me that the investments to date will only really do well if the silver price keeps going up. Junior minors do still have difficulty raising funds so there could be some good opportunities. Intend to buy more when price gets closer to NAV.

Seems like TW wants that share price up, but is the timescale too much for most of us. I'd be interested in any views, whether you're still in or out.

TW at Minesite - AHG at the start and DXR from 20.5 minutes in. DXR's first few investments are mentioned and I think (please check video) he said 2/3 is already invested. Have a listen and see what you think.

engelo, I did say I had sold in post 600 or thereabouts. Not a big profit in AHG as I bought in just over 0.8p. I have just posted a few facts from the video on the AHG thread which makes me wonder why AHG is going up as the maths don't seem to add up. I may have misheard though. I did buy SVE just before their last results and sold for a small profit shortly after because it does trade at a big discount. It certainly seems to be moving up and the investments are generally good ones so I don't understand the big discount, but you can't argue with the market.

drrichard "Your excellent summary of what DXR offers will have to suffice". Thanks for the laugh, it cheered up my day.

marab: not clear to me if you still hold here. AFAICS you have made a good profit out of AHG, which I didn't have the courage to get into (as well as holding here).

Slightly OT have recently bought some SVE which has for my money a brilliant set of holdings (eg RRR, RGM, BEM, Oracle Coal) and which trades at a discount to NAV of 35-40%, in contrast to the premiums which TW confidently expects in his operations.

Me too, Marab. Looked everywhere

The AIM admission document lists the competitors, as of September/October but I can find no comparative assessment of DRX vis a vis the competition.

drrichard, no sorry. I have waded through the posts on ADVFN, some of which are very good, and generally trawled through everything I can find on the web. It's the mix of products they offer that appeals most to me, and the fact that they seem to present a viable chance for the smaller providers to compete with the likes of SKY. It looks like a company on the edge of great things which is probably why you invested in it. It seems to offer the chance of niche marketing of products (3D, pay to view etc.)to specific groups (language etc) and advertising through their analysing software. Basically an all in one package to help the smaller companies increase revenue at little cost. One to tuck away I think rather than trade, at least for me. It's the lack of coverage that is keeping the price down in my opinion, although I am getting the impression that more and more people are becoming aware of MTV. At least in MTV you have some information whereas here at DXR we are still waiting as you mentioned earlier.

drrichard, good tactics. Great thing about shares is you can keep your horses running for as long as you like and they can both win. Or not.

moormoney, probably a good idea to reduce when you did. At least now you have the option of buying cheaper if you want to. TW's delay is interesting and I look forward to the next holding RNS for DXR.

I'm still here but have reduced my holding a bit while showing a bit of profit
I'll give it a bit of time because a sharp silver squeeze is expected running up to March acc to the posters on the AGQ board. If so dxr should benefit if TW would just get on with it!!

evening Marab
I have kept both in my SIPP. Seriously considered bailing 6 p but decided to hang on for a bit

Both are very hard to assess as one has yet to pronounce and there is very little objective reporting on the other. So I decided to back both horses
