26/7/2019 07:06 | Why is this dropping so much. Are the results going to be bad next week.Thought the dicount rate wasn't as expected it is still better than -75 | peteret
17/7/2019 07:27 | Apologies - got this wrong failed to appreciate just how liberal minded Gauke is | sufc555
05/7/2019 20:24 | Two points - anything above 0% is a positive- second given the political instability there is no guarantee the change will come - so if it does and it’s above 0% the shares will rise.
The govt have a clear conflict of interest as the current discount rate is costing the nhs 500m pa | sufc555
04/7/2019 21:40 | Thank you for the links, much appreciated, but the latest one says that the Govt has said that the new discount rate will likely be between 0 and 1%, so this is surely already factored into the price of insurers ? | pete160
04/7/2019 17:25 | Given that Boris will sack Gauke by 25th July - expect rate to change either next week or week after - change likely to be a Monday
Every 0.5% change upwards adds about 50m to DLG profits (above 0%) the accounts currently use 0% | sufc555

04/7/2019 17:21 | The law requires Gauke to change the rate by 5th August - the government has already said it expects the rate to be more than 0% - current rate is -.75%

04/7/2019 09:01 | If the rate changes it could negatively affect the share price Also it's down to the government so it could take forever. | peteret
04/7/2019 06:49 | sufc, you seem to swing between next week or Aug. 5th or not even by then.
It might add credibility of your posting if you could back it up with a source or at least more detail.... ? | pete160
03/7/2019 20:33 | A little foolish to sell before Monday’s discount rate change | sufc555
03/7/2019 16:01 | If it gets to 3.45 I'll sell.Just hope trump doesn't cause another train wreck before then. | peteret
03/7/2019 07:33 | Not wishing to give this the kiss of death, but it is looking much stronger recently. Up with the markets, or something else? | lord gnome
26/6/2019 16:43 | Depends on the rate - although given the political uncertainty there is no guarantee the 5th August deadline will be met | sufc555
26/6/2019 08:31 | Isn't that news is already in the price? | pete160
26/6/2019 07:59 | The discount rate change is coming - enjoy | sufc555
07/6/2019 09:47 | It looks like a lot of interest? There could be another buyout like L&G from US or overseas in EU? The brokers reckon 348 by end of July. I personal like DLG as an honest and open Insurer. | 97peter
07/6/2019 09:14 | Nice rise in the last few days.Hopefully it will reach 3.40 next week | peteret
21/5/2019 17:03 | About £800...
Many thanks again | ignoble
20/5/2019 19:06 | My pleasure Ignoble, glad you saved a few bob,

20/5/2019 18:46 | Is this forum about compare the market and car insurance? Or about a share price forum and discussion on DLG board, decisions and sp? share price should start to rise when new start up is more mature and a larger revenue stream. Plus DLG is a well run organisation, just the FTSE is on a bit if a downer with Trumps antics with China. | 97peter
20/5/2019 17:14 | To the gentleman who recommended Admiral for my son's motor renewal
Many thanks...
Reduced his premium substantially | ignoble
16/5/2019 21:11 | Manipulated up to pay out less shares from dividend.will drop again next week. | longwell
16/5/2019 19:04 | Agree price is not everything, having good EU cover, plus no extra for changes and only went up £10 this year. Though this is about the company and share price it should be at 350p, with big buys from Blackrock investments, DLG starting a new cheaper own brand at lower end of market and solid growth and long term plans. Once Brexit means brexit and we are out of EU watch all UK shares gain by 9 - 11% | 97peter
16/5/2019 16:32 | I think they are sound
Went long yesterday | gswredland
16/5/2019 13:28 | My wifes and my renewals from DL were very acceptable!! | renewed1
