15/5/2011 20:15 | From the annual report: Dividends The Board is proposing a final dividend of 8.88 pence per Ordinary Share to be paid on 24 June 2011 to members on the register at close of business on 27 May 2011. This dividend is subject to the approval of shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on 9 June 2011. This final dividend represents a 10 per cent increase on the equivalent dividend paid in the previous year. This will be the only dividend paid in respect of profits generated in 2010, as an interim dividend was not paid separately, but was instead included within the £1 Return of Value per Ordinary Share paid in October 2010. so will probably go ex on the 25th | eburne1960

28/4/2011 12:26 | I've never used charting before but just eyeballing this chart made me buy in when it was last at 6.50 I had been watching for a quite a while before that as I agree with the general sentiment on here that funerals is a failry safe area to be in. So I am interested to see if it bounces off the top of its increasing band (no idea what the correct term is for this). Will hold for a good many years now hopefully so it's not important but just interested. J | jebenn1

08/2/2011 14:38 | Saw a piece on the (poor quality breakfast) news this morning saying that local authorities were putting up prices significantly for crematoria and burial. Figures being talked about were 10-20% increases although there were some higher percentages. Good news I would assume for DTY but would be please to hear your views. Bought in to the company yesterday having had my eye on it for a year or two. I have never as far as I remember used charts to influence a buy/sell decision but just eye balling the charts above had me hoping that the share price bounces off the trend line as it has a few times before. | jebenn1
07/2/2011 14:33 | I remember plantsbroke and great southern had them when the yanks took them over years ago same may happen here.. | gardenarc
07/2/2011 13:10 | This stock does not sit well as a quoted company, I think this company belongs in the hands of a private equity firm. Which is a pity, as it has a good long term growth plan, I like the taking over of crematoriums from local councils, and it is highly cash generative as a business. I have a large holding. | chri5 wright
04/2/2011 14:09 | Good stock this am holding good for the long run. | gardenarc
04/2/2011 14:02 | ......another one of my investment bright ideas going to the dogs by the look of things.............. | chri5 wright

25/11/2010 20:42 | the co-op are more worried about the expansion of dignity than what seems like a crackpot idea from M&S unless a director puts his job on the line if it goes tugo, like the disastrous move by boots into hearing aid centres or the timing of tesco's move into garden centres or HoF's sale of freeholds, the list is endless 25,000 excess deaths last winter due to neglect of elderly people, shame dignity in their expansion plans don't seem to be taking advantage of depressed freehold prices instead renting, what marc bolland at m&s should be consentrating on is expanding the the in store money services, from cards ,travel, insurance, loans, into pensions & currency exchange, one bank said of the 120,000k paid in a pension over 40yrs, 99k in fees were charged, but we are competitive, the publicity of putting the competition to shame would be priceless 18/4 737p time to take profits? | mike24 |
