26/7/2016 14:35 | Underground mining resumes at DiamondCorp's Lace mine Share 15:19 26 Jul 2016 Mining was suspended on 18 July on the order of the Department of Mines | dice1950
18/7/2016 10:50 | More bad news from PL. More cash and ongoing delays, not overly impressive. More doubts creeping in. | iicb
18/7/2016 10:38 | hpcg, I have emailed PL this morning but he is out of the office re accident until next Tuesday. | ged5
18/7/2016 09:38 | tiger - yes. | hpcg
18/7/2016 09:05 | But isnt this one thing that is under mgmt responsibility? Safety training and following set guidelines and procedures were obviously an issue. If a refresher course was in order does that mean it was deficit prior to the accident. Of course people are more important than money but you cant help thinking it was avoidable and yet another black mark for management. There goes some of the contingency days after the placing. Just unlucky? | tiger60
18/7/2016 08:47 | I'm tempted to email the company to suggest the last thing they should do is try to make up lost production. The important thing, both morally and financially, so it isn't as if there is a trade off, is to conduct operations in a safe and secure manner. | hpcg
18/7/2016 08:01 | Very best wishes to the miner's assistant who must have suffered a large amount of pain. I'm sure we all wish him a speedy recovery. Let's hope there are no more mishaps! | ged5
15/7/2016 10:08 | 6.28 v 6.4 | hitch19
14/7/2016 17:58 | How can the share price close at 6.625 when all day long it was 6.4 to buy! But lets wait and cross our fingers for some specials, so far pdn rates are a worry. | tiger60
14/7/2016 10:55 | Hardly a good mine and plan if it can't sustain itself. Good old Paul bringing all this doubt now in the past year. | iicb
14/7/2016 09:49 | hitch19 - yes, in that situation we don't have a diamond mine. | hpcg
13/7/2016 22:17 | If £4million was burnt in 6 months then £2million will be burnt before October. If they don't find enough diamonds to sell then there will be another fund raise before October.Just sounds like rinse and repeat. | hitch19
13/7/2016 14:59 | i think another cash call has sent optimistic jaf over the edge ;-) (Come on Jaf, be brave, I'll accept your apology for all the grief you gave me over another cash call which came true (again!). :-) Ged, interesting, amazing how last year I had lots of confidence, a year later PL has eroded a large quantity of it. Now we see repetition in stories, not overly great either. Thanks for posting. | iicb
13/7/2016 09:20 | Reading through this thread and an RNS or two, especially from 2011, I have become rather cynical about this company after this recent placing. I feel as though it's groundhog day. There are certain similarities in statements made 5 years ago. This from post 383 "Difficult ground conditions are slowing the pace of mining and results from the full 30,000 tonne sample will not be ready until September. However DiamondCorp believes that the results from the remaining sample are likely to show an even better grade." Hasn't someone posted on here that management couldn't have known about the ground conditions that caused recent delays? These from 3rd Feb 2011 RNS "Flooding rainfall over the project area in recent weeks has posed challenges for waste haulage and mine dewatering. Despite these challenges, the development currently remains both on schedule"" "The refurbishment of the vertical shaft and the ramp up to full scale production is scheduled to take between nine and 12 months to complete" 'We look forward to processing the first 30,000 tonnes of fresh kimberlite from the -260m level at Lace in the months ahead and reporting the recovered mining grade and carat value before the end of the second quarter.' There were also many bullish statements and presentations made at different times followed by a placing. The latest presentation made before this latest placing is now on the website. I wont be selling at this price but will remain cynical! Maybe we will have full production in the next few months! Maybe we will find a pink or purple but learning from past history of this company, I wont be holding my breath. | ged5
12/7/2016 23:25 | Oh yeah it was a real rocket performance today | iicb
12/7/2016 15:20 | 6.6 are buys. It won't fly until 14th when broker options hit. | hitch19
12/7/2016 14:21 | Really flying now hitch and on such high volume. ;) | ged5
12/7/2016 08:53 | How do you know Panmure bought the shares? | ged5
12/7/2016 08:28 | Excellent news about the additional placing shares. And good to see the Directors joining in too! | mesquida |
