Perhaps, but if people move they by new furniture, if they can't move they improve instead and buy new furniture. If people can't or don't want to get on the housing ladder they rent and need furniture!

Sentiment drives prices in the short term however.

Office of National Statistics have shown a recent fall in retail sales, quite a few retails companies (Next) have shown a drop in half year figures........... could be that or just profit taking.

SCS update this morning looks decent. No effect of brexit and so hopefully this translates to DFS as well
