11/6/2002 00:44 | BTG, Can you tell me how if Michael Ricketts is not a 'well respected' player then how come he was even picked to be in the England team? I don't know what you want from a young player, as in his first season in the Premiership he has had all the headlines for Bolton, is sought after by many a bigger club and still at only 23 years old. I think he has a glittering career ahead of him and are talking rubbish if you think hes not a major premiership player.. | beckaroo
11/6/2002 00:42 | B the G So Michael Rickets is useless, so he never plays for England again, and maybe his current team will want rid of him, AND WE MAKE MONEY ON THE TRANSFER!!!!! Think only of the best - Hope only for the best. Petty negativeness is unrealistic and unwanted on this bb. | downbutnotout
10/6/2002 20:50 | BECKAROO- thanks for the info,i had not come across that site!! | digital sport
10/6/2002 20:03 | Some press info I have found. Not bad that DTL now has both the PFA player of the year and the second place in the young player of the year on their books. From footballtansfers.net Manchester United`s Ruud van Nistelrooy last night won the PFA Award for 2001/02. The Dutchman said: "I have been voted by the players of the Premier League and that is the best league in Europe at the moment. That makes me feel proud." The Young Players` Award went to Newcastle United striker Craig Bellamy. Michael Ricketts (Bolton Wanderers) came second and Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), who won the award last year, came third. | beckaroo
10/6/2002 19:28 | whats a matter bruce have you sold all your stock in dtl? this is your thread from march Click here for related discussions Bruce the Goldfish - 25 Mar'02 - 14:08 ABOUT DIGITAL SPORT Main Activity Acquisition of sports related businesses. Operates ICON Management Solutions Ltd (ICON), a football agency business, which has Darren Anderton, Seth Johnson and Terry Venables on the books to name a few. Number of Shares in Issue 768million Major Shareholders G Smith 11.40%, Socknersh Investments Ltd 7.78%, Richard Ellis 5.75%, James Allen 5.71%, Eurobet (UK) Ltd 4.44%, L Angel 3.38%. = 38%. Website - BULL POINTS Mkt Cap of £2.5m covered by cash in the bank of the same amount NAV = £3.4m No Debt Currently 0.45p to buy (an all-time low) 2002 World Cup only a couple of months away Disposed of One Sport Limited a loss-making trading subsidiary Recently acquired ICON, which trades profitably in the expanding football agency business BEAR POINTS Potential agreement with Sports Network cancelled which took up many management hours Gary Smith recently resigned, although he has claimed that he will not offload his 11% holding in the company in the near future. CONCLUSIONS DTL is grossly undervalued imho. The company has no debt, has a positive cash balance of £2.5m, has NAV of £3.4m, and its main operating subsidiary (ICON) trades profitably in the rapidly expanding football agency business. The 2002 World Cup is only a whisper away and any company that has any degree of exposure to the event will draw attention from the investing public. All in all I see DTL as a great potential recovery play with massive upside potential. As always DYOR BTG sorry bruce just don't understand the change in your direction | hillbilly999
10/6/2002 18:20 | Good post Scorpion...most of us are looking at the bigger picture ,med/long term with the possibility of a bid!!.. of course there will be opportunities along the road for short termers aswell. | digital sport
10/6/2002 17:21 | T0350- agree, should hit the paper!!does anyone know names for the snooker players in the TMG stable,i have seen a lot of players wearing their TMG badges on their waistcoats but cannot remember their names | digital sport
10/6/2002 17:15 | tommorow should see a rise IMHO | to350
10/6/2002 17:02 | Anyway as i said, we can expect another announcement with good news probably around or on the date of the AGM. | digital sport
10/6/2002 17:00 | cant believe you are biting ds | to350
10/6/2002 16:50 | PDMARR- I am certainly not arrogant or a liar....it was you who first came onto this thread calling me!!..I will be willing to discuss this share with you if you quit the "you are a ramper rubbish". I have never advised anyone to buy. All i have done is pass on information,i admit sometimes the timescale has been a little off but never to much. Take a look back and view the information i have passed on,all correct. | digital sport
10/6/2002 16:39 | Arrogant as well as a liar. Perhaps you could enlighten me then? | pdmarr
10/6/2002 16:33 | PDMARR you know nothing and the saddest thing is you don't even know that.... | digital sport
10/6/2002 16:27 | I know a ramper when I see one. | pdmarr
10/6/2002 16:18 | PDMARR- you really are showing you know nothing.......we have all known for over 5 weeks that van Nistolrooy is a client. Go away!! | digital sport
10/6/2002 16:13 | Touched a nerve there I think. Why would VN not get a mention in favour of Michael Ricketts and Max Headroom (sic)? I'll follow facts and not the hype. Todays announcement was hardly first class as more second rate stars enrolled, or in the case of Lara, a major star in a sport with no money... PS so no apology to follow regarding your slur on me ramping SWD? | pdmarr
10/6/2002 16:07 | PDMARR- i don't give a toss who you beleive...the info is there on Van Nistolrooy if you are prepared to look, DYOR. sounds like your getting interested? PS who have i suckered in?.How has any of my posts benefited me? | digital sport
10/6/2002 16:02 | ds Butter wouldn't melt in your mouth! I'd obviously trust an individual like your good self as 1) you accused me publicly of something I'd never done ie ramp on the SWD board - apology to follow as you were wrong? 2)you made endless references to imminent major announcements with major degrees of certainties and even specific dates. Didn't see any of them...did you? I wouldn't call myself naive as people like you are transparent immediately to me which I think puts me at an advantage. I think the only naive investors are the ones you've suckered in with your ramping. PS so tell us...when is the next announcement? LOL PPS where can I find the public information on Van Nistleroy being a client? | pdmarr
10/6/2002 15:59 | PDMARR - can i ask you how you heard of DTL? did you wake up one morning and we drew the short straw? | digital sport
10/6/2002 15:54 | PDMARR - thats your best one yet!! I would imagine that even the most naive investor had heard of SWD bearing in mind the media coverage they received. You are in a different league!! You have asked again about Van Nistolrooy, don,t you beleive he is a client or something. We are not talking about finals or interims not that you would have any idea when they are due. | digital sport
10/6/2002 15:45 | LOL!! I'm sure there's another coming too. Afterall, they have to post interims and finals don't they? Or is this another of your 99.9% certain, hot news tips? PS so where was the announcement regarding Van Nistelroy being on board? PPS if you're not interested in ramping, why start silly runours of announcements only to see one date after the other pass? | pdmarr
10/6/2002 15:40 | PDMARR- i have no need to ramp .....the Directors will do that for me....as you asked YES there is another announcement coming!! | digital sport
10/6/2002 15:34 | PDMARR _ LATEST STATEMENTS 1 ) i had to check the epic to see who SWD were. 2) I thought it was about Van Nistolrooy coming on board. 3) would'nt like to be an agent at this time. 4) until you accused me of trading SWD i had never heard of them. are we to beleive that you have done any research on this sector at all Mr Marr at least BTG knows the sector and is putting across his opinion but you obviously know nothing.... | digital sport |
