06/11/2007 15:33 | Nah ... just the wind stirring the leaves.. | idioterna

22/9/2007 11:49 | Hello Idioterna. I also have a small holding when compared to 3/4 years ago. There is always the possibility of another bid, even though the last one failed due to a black hole in the pension fund. With the last bid pitched at 150p, anything around 120/130 would probably be considered, with the other 20p or so left for filling in the black hole. I would guess that current weakness in the share price could be due to the further outbreak of F&M in England. Hopefully, it will be contained within the restriction zone. | besbury
11/9/2007 12:41 | Could be Besbury - I also rejoined the fray a few days ago, don't really see much downside from here. Might be stuck with little but the dividend over the next 18 months, but that ain't too bad. Just a small position this time around. | idioterna
07/9/2007 14:48 | Is this by any chance the ex-John Magnier-Acomita stock? RNS Number:5110D Devro PLC 07 September 2007 Devro PLC ("Devro" or "the Company") NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES Devro PLC announces that it received notification on 31 August 2007 that, as at 24 August 2007, Bestinver Gestion, SGIIC, S.A. had an interest in the voting rights attached to 18,401,501 ordinary shares in the Company representing 11.30% of the issued share capital. Enquiries: John Meredith Company Secretary 01236 879191 | besbury
06/9/2007 16:28 | I know the company pretty well having been in and out several times since their IPO @170p in June 1993, and providing me with a useful net gain a couple of years ago, when I bought 75k at an average of 50p and sold between 120 and 136. All on the back of John Magnier's Acomita. With the interim divi held and yielding a little over 5%, I feel it is worth a few at this price. Not a lot has changed since the bid at 150p earlier this year, even though it fell through due to the pension fund black hole. Time of course will tell. O^O | besbury
06/9/2007 16:02 | just ok, not too much upside. hold. | milton8
06/9/2007 15:48 | 2 directors buying. I had an idea they would take this opportunity to do so. I bought a few this morning at 83.8p, Peter Page 119k @84.4 Pat Barrett 29k @ 84. | besbury
14/8/2007 20:48 | Its already a victim of foot in mouth lol | bruce the worry bear
18/7/2007 11:17 | Thankyou, I will watch with interest . | yarab46
13/7/2007 10:20 | Just Goldman and Lehman shifting on the shares they gought from Acomita. They have to complete this before normal demand can assert itself | phillis
13/7/2007 09:10 | WOW, I don't think I have seen a BB go so quiet. What has happened to the 150p mooted value of this share , is the pension question an impending crippler for DVO or is there something else going on here. Give me some hope; please! | yarab46
26/6/2007 11:16 | Acomita are shipping out at a goodly profit because they were behind the failed buyout. All down to the CEO now to settle whether there really is "jam tomorrow" If not somebody will move in and put them out of their misery. Great each way bet at these price levels, but patience needed | phillis
26/6/2007 09:27 | Just can't get my head around where this company is going. Engines appear to have stalled 2 years ago. Another dip in profits and what looks like Acomita abandoning ship. Management's biggest effort in the past few years appears to have been repelling borders in the takeover bid. | idioterna
26/6/2007 08:31 | bye Bye Acomita then At least the trading statement will clarify the situation for the new investors who are interested in buying the Acomita stock | phillis
29/5/2007 12:19 | Don't really understand why this share is out of favour. A private equity house was prepared to pay 150p but couldn't agree with the trustees of the pension scheme on a top up to the pension scheme to compensate for the perceived increased risk that gearing would bring. Good value over time awaits | phillis
29/5/2007 12:18 | I invested in Devro when the share price was very low (sub 50p), but traded out at 120 a couple of years ago. I have kept a watchful eye on the share price but have been put off by other factors.. I recently invested in a small scale production venture in Scandinavia but Devro never even bothered to reply to our mail.. at that point I realised the company lacked any ambition so it dropped off my watch-list. Apparently there is a bid... I hope they have more ambition than the prsent management. | idioterna
18/5/2007 18:45 | Further thought on today,s trades and price drop. 76 transactions,a quarter were buys with an overall trading quantity of approx 1250 each for Buys/sells. Surely this small quantity should not have moved the price as it did. | rabbrooks
18/5/2007 18:30 | Devro has been a dreadful investment for most people over the last few years. There must be a handful of private shareholders who are at least interested to discuss the problems/future surely, or am I wrong?. | rabbrooks
14/4/2007 07:36 | I wonder if there is a chance of someone else having a go to try and resolve the pensions problem. | besbury
13/4/2007 13:49 | Today's announcement was predictable by the price movement of the last few days. I just hope that someone in the LSE/FSA or wherever conducts an investigation into what can now be seen as insider dealing. | sharw
13/4/2007 12:17 | bids off , | scrapman
12/4/2007 16:40 | After all the talk in the weekend press about shareprice manipulation , you would think the company would have to make a statement straight away if the bid had been pulled, or of course those crafty little mm's are doing their job and getting a few cheap additions , we will find out pretty soon I feel | scrapman |
