In the days of the former Chairman Pat barrett, they got close to a sale to a (Irish?)consortium This founded because of the pension fund deficit One would have thought an international food group might be interested

I have been watching them for a number of years, holding sometimes, not at mo'. With their initiatives in China and US I expected marked uplift in sales/revenue and cost savings. Also, with world food shortage and insects having coming in to our diet, I would expect sausage/collagen products to be a good way to address it. I'd be more tempted by a cricket sausage than a cricket sandwich. I guess that isn't relevant for Asian sales with insects already the norm, but should/could be for West. I am no cook, maybe not practical to have insect sausages as contents are usually uncooked. Maybe that is still on horizon.., I expected its presence to be here now percentage wise, say 5% shift into non-conventional foods for the west. I feel as if I am saying crazy stuff, but can't dispute this thought. Look at success of McDonalds etc with less than healthy products. Insects I understand are highly nutricous, so have health angle too. IMO :-) Dave

DVO is a major disappointment. Always jam tomorrow. Seems pointless hanging on.

Phil, cashflow looks weak to me fwiw. On the flip side the share price has bounced from this area previously and DVO may become a bid target.

It's a strange one alright. Almost at the year low of 156p. Still on the watchlist. Shareprice below those last two director 'buys' from october now.

Oh, nicely done Phil, they have been a monster performer!!. Not sure I see CWK, however there are a couple of major competitors in the same business, from memory one name was mentioned here previously. I bought DVO when they listed originally - a long time ago now, around about 1992/3 from memory. Their record since has been decidedly mixed.

What's the current net debt figure, not mentioned in that update.. expect to be around.. Mentioned I would be cautious here with the net debt. Their best hope may be to be taken out by a competitor.
