The stuff on Zebedee is heartening.

I see RKH have issued an RNS about the tax demand from FIG.

They will be discussing it at the AGM today.

It looks like they have agreed common ground and a starting point for the calculation basis.
It shouldn't be long now until they come up with a revised figure.

I look forward to hearing Rob's take on it all.

hyway -
did you sell out then? If I sold now - it would be an almost 42% loss.
Of rather a large amount. I only count them as losses if I realise them by selling out at a loss. So long as you hold - there is hope IMHO.
But that's not for everyone.

After the first duster - and a 19p share - I was WELL over £100K in paper losses. I waited - and sold at a good profit in October 2010.

Iask myself- do I need the money now? If so - I have to sell.
if not - how long am I prepared to hold?

I remember trying to talk a chap on RKH out of selling out at a loss on the morning of the 6th May 2010. Just to hold on a little longer.
We all know what happened that lunchtime. I was gutted for him - still am when I think about it.
But he made his own decision that was right for him at the time.

Shanie - the way I feel - I've been waiting for 13 years to be fabulously rich - I'll keep waiting a little longer.

Personally - if I lose some money on my own decision - it's never as bad as losing it on listening to someone else's advice. But this is only IMHO.

Good luck all -whatever you choose.

shanie - hyway - you don't want to know how much I'm down on paper - but I've been here before.
DES came though for me eventually - but you have to make up your own minds regards the risk. No-one can/should advise you what to do.

Hi Casandra -
I've no idea - if they get a rig slot and drill - and find oil - yes. IMHO
But that's a lot of IFs. :)

Might these ever get back up to a pound? Or is that being totally unrealistic? Casandra

" It is likely that the rig will be shared with one or MORE of the other Falkland operators," MORE indicating NFB (IMHO) as there are no more in the SFB other than Borders.

I've no idea who though - could be any one of them - or all, perhaps.

I have no idea about the last temporary port- perhaps that was dismantled?
What facilities did it have? I can't remember - but they could be compared to the letter of interest.
The one being brought by Noble will suit their purpose.

I can't see FIG allowing more temp. infrastructure if they already have something fit for purpose. They want to avoid that as much as possible.

I'm still waiting for Buchanan to reply. :)

"SO they will be sharing in the NFB." where does it say the NFB agna? could it not be with borders.
to the need for the temporary port. why? what has happened to the last one that was used? and seemed to work without issues.

From FOGL RNS. SO they will be sharing in the NFB. I wonder who?
Wonder if this is the 'catalyst' DES mentioned?

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Work is underway to secure a suitable drilling rig for 2014. A rig enquiry was issued in June and a favourable response was received from a number of rig owners. Noble Energy is now following up this inquiry and is holding discussions with a number of potential rig contractors. It is likely that the rig will be shared with one or more of the other Falkland operators, thereby mitigating some of the mobilisation costs of both rig and associated drilling services. Long lead drilling equipment will be ordered in the near future and Noble are in advanced discussions with the Falkland Islands Government in regards to the provision and siting of a temporary port that will be used to service the offshore drilling operations.

My post 46002 -

after I wrote to Buchanan - DES was moved back into the 'In Market' section.
Needless to say I heard nothing at all from Buchanan.

Anyone here know what this 'Post Bid' classification means?

This is from Jays111 on the other B.

Totally O/T - but I'm keeping an eye out for any mention of this chap in a new Falklands job at some point. I hope.

His home page has been well tarted up since he left RKH- some nice piccies.
I didn't know he was a hippy once.....:)

efagie - wasn't that Toroa?
West. Sort of South of the FI and to the West of the acreage
I think the results were fairly dismal - but I wondered if there were any other potential targets close by?
There's been plenty of posts/gossip about 2 rigs in 2014. I was just wondering if one of them could be a potential share with the NFB.
That would certainly act as a catalyst for a farm in partner for DES.
Of course - Noble may want to concentrate on the deep water stuff.
Noble have lots of drill power. I've worked for them in past times.

Just a thought I've been playing with.
Mostly because I don't want us to have to wait for - or have anything to do with - PMO.
