I don't want to be negative but board all in their seventies, of course Derriston will go well, it took Sorrell who's brilliant, virtually a lifetime to build WPP, time not on their side this time.

Previously mentioned in a post a possible link between Martin Sorrell's new company and BeHeard (BHRD) thro' Nigel Wray , who's a substantial holder in BHRD.

A second link now appears to be Dowgate Capital Stocbrokers.

Dowgate Capital Stockbrokers Limited which is authorised and regulated in the United Kingdom by the Financial Conduct Authority is acting for Derriston Capital plc and S4 Capital Limited in connection with the proposals set out in this Announcement and for no one else and will not be responsible to anyone other than Derriston Capital plc and S4 Capital Limited for providing the protections afforded to their clients or for providing advice in relation to this announcement or any matters referred to herein.

Dowgate also arranged a placing for BHRD in Nov 17.

James Serjeant is the legal and beneficial owner of 200,000 ordinary shares in the Company. 3B Capital Limited is the legal and beneficial owner of 1,062,500 ordinary shares in the Company. i don't think he has grasped the maths yet
it all depends on the issue price of the shares
all we know is the stated cash
but to find out the nett assets per share we would need to divide nett cash by numbers shares in issue
the rest is as such goodwill/hype depending on what you want to call it

just phoned walbrooks today to see if there is a chance of a smaller shareholder who has been a shareholder for a decent while, to buy a few more shares in the placing
didn't sound hopeful
it is unfair that on the whole long term smaller holders don't get a chance to participate in placings
due to hear back later via email

I suggest a few weeks and JonC suggested it would be more like a few days. Like he said everything is in place (S4 is funded, Derriston had a main market listing etc) so he's probably more likely to be right. It won't be today however as we'll have seen an RNS from S4 Capital.

"S4 Capital is in talks with firms about acquisitions. Sorrell added: ‘There are significant opportunities for development in technology, data and content. I look forward to making this happen.’"

Good article as it does warn of the dangers of so much power in Sorrell's hands. He might be king of ad-land but he doesn't sound like a particularly pleasant bloke to work for.

Placing was at 10p as per prospectus. Looks like it opened in the 20s on first day of trading.

Placed at 20 p from graph above then fell fast. My estimate for new price at 594 mill shares with £40 plus £11 plus £3 millions gives around 9 pence......BUT NOT FOR LONG with an extra £150 mill investment commitments on offer........35 p anyone?

Original placing price was 10p I believe, but I don't think many PIs would tie up large sums in a shell when there are so many to choose from and they have such a chequered past performance

No, I don't imagine anyone has, it was a bit of a punt when it listed about 18 months ago!Still, that initial placing price was at 20p, and I can't believe they will stiff those loyal shareholders?
