Tomorrow Penascola Farm-out?

DELT a sitting duck for a takeover at such low ball valuation...

As some others have conveyed - a straight buyout is the best option here. Anywhere beginning 60p cash offer, investors should consider. If above 80p, I'd snap their arm off.No point messing around with tiny minority interests for years, to keep the management gravy train rolling, as any farmout proceeds will just get wasted.Cash

There is no fear unless they go bust, which is unlikely. I got in too early, so I'm quite a bit underwater here. Normally, I would have binned them and moved on, especially with the unpopular view on our fossil fuels industry and particularly with the view that the main fund managers appear to be taking. However, I think that is possibly going to work as an advantage to a degree, and this is possibly a 7 bagger. In the worst case, I can see investors getting four times their doe back, but it could take a while. Now is the best entry point as this is as low as I see it. It has proved its resistance, and from now should be a very slow claw back as awareness bites in.All in my honest own opinion of course.Gramham's interview was vague, I thought, although very positive and clear.

I don't think there will be strong movement until at least unlesd there are major significant changes. This I believe is a very good entry point for new investors, and, they have plenty of time to choose an entry.

Investors may need to put more money into it before they can profitably take it out.The company has £9.1 million in cash (as of 30 June 2023). It is expected that it will spend a total of £14.1 million this year and £19.5 million next year. That means the company will have to sell additional shares to raise the capital required for its portion of the drilling programme at the Pensacola field. There is no question the gas is in place. However, getting the resource to a position where gas will flow is expensive. That is going to take both time and money before profits start to roll in.The reason the share is underperforming so acutely is because investors will not buy before the dilution event occurs. When it passes, I expect the share to begin recovering.

Agree, this is one share to avoid for new investors

Keep an eye open for further news over the coming months on Deltic's move on the Pensacola licence.

In the meantime delegates from most of the world's largest economies met in Goa, India, over the weekend to discuss the energy transition as extreme heat takes hold in many areas across the globe. The G20 Energy Transitions Working Group Meeting was intended to set tone and strategy, and while there were some points of agreement, the summit ended without any consensus on phasing out fossil fuels. Investors in energy and renewables are especially taking note ahead of a gathering of G20 leaders in September and the COP28 forum in December.
