I think you are missing the point.
Would you give an unsecured loan of £250k to DEMG at 8 per cent?
Assuming you have that amount available.

I think not.
Correct me if I am wrong.

That's one way of looking at it. The other is that Nigel Keen will be taking about £100,000 of much needed cash out of DEMG this year in interest on these loans plus a convertible loan.Yes, he is taking risk, but not as much as equity holders. The convertible falls due in February 2024. This gives him a lot of control. Will he do the best exit for us or for himself?MrC

I have not posted on DEMG for a long time.

However, I have been mulling over how the news that Nigel Keen has provided an additional of £250,000 to the £500,000 unsecured Standby loan at 8 per cent relating to the imminent launch of the new Truevue Monitor.

At this stage in the proceedings I wonder why he has been willing to provide this further facility.

Clearly, this must be the make or break time for the company. If Truevue is not adopted to a significant extent DEMG has no future and will fold. Conversely, if Truevue is taken up to a significant extent this will give a new lease of life to the company.

It is worth noting the the company Imperialise Ltd providing the facilty has net assets of around £200k according to the March 2022 accounts. I think one can conclude that at this time providing finance for Deltex would appear to be either its main or sole activity.

At this pivotal time there is little doubt that trading in DEMG shares by Nigel Keen would be forbidden under insider trading rules as Nigel Keen will know better than anyone else what are the immediate trading prospects for DEMG from the launch.

So, how do we interpret this facility from Nigel? If he believed the impact on trade prospects from the launch to be poor to moderate would he really add to his investment in DEMG with no real prospect of success? I think not. Further, if he held doubts about the success of the launch at this modest level would he throw good money after bad with virtually no prospect of recovering the principal if the markets took a negative view?

Nigel remains the largest individual investor in the company apart from institutional investors. Would he really throw away a further £250k without a good prospect of improved fortunes for the company?

Being unable to buy shares at this time he has helped the company the best way he can and we should all be grateful for that. The recent price movements suggest that others see it that way too.

The mm bought alot of their holding during 2022 at prices such as 1.1p thats why they are not going to offer it on the cheap unless they can shift it in minutes for a margin like earlier today.

Normally, if you want volume they are going to make the buyer pay for it!

addendum, the only reason someone was able to buy the 500k of shares was because some fool sold 498k of shares 9 minutes previous.. Usually Nobby and his mates jump in with 10-30k trades to try and shift the Sp but not this time..

I don't think the mms have that many shares, up until just before the TU there was no trading volume and they wouldn't of wanted to hold stock if they can't shift it, imho..

Thanks to whoever sold the 498,827!
Gave me a chance to top up with cheaper 500,000 shares. Couldn't get any size yesterday under 1.35.

Plenty of space for price to go up. Cheetah was bought for equivalent of 35p a share and even Lidco, a total dog, went for equivalent of 6p a share. Both had inferior technology, contrary evidence and were loss making. Will be happy with 10p or more, although doubt the chair or board have the energy, balls or gumption to do much better than 6p to 8p. Not buying until chair calls time after a third of a century.MrC

Looks like MMs have little stock, and shareholders not prepared to sell at current level. Positive value add news may cause a spike in share price Here's hoping ?

Sentiment here has obviously changed, nice ticks up on sometimes very small volume bodes well, awaiting news on the new monitor launch and details of the new tender..

"your welcome"? Ha ha & happy new year to all.

I bought the 1,000,000 shares on the Friday before Christmas. Left it a bit late as could have picked them for 10% less a few days earlier but don't think will be able to buy for less than a penny again.

Think the play here is the same as it has been for several years. Get the new monitor to market, show rapid sales growth, sell the company. The update read like it's game on.

The really good news is that it sounds like the new monitor is finally just about ready. Further good news is that there seems to be demand for it and not just for replacing the 25 year old current box. Additional good news is that a major tender win sounds imminent. Will be interesting to find out if that is for the old box or the new one, but my guess would be it's for the old box as you are virtually never able to tender for something not yet released. If it is for the old box, that will be great news for the cash position as they will be able to clear out the old inventory and make a good turn doing so.

My expectation is that we will see a steady stream of news over the next three months, starting this month. There is a new broker on board to push the story to the fund managers and I think the price could move up quite sharply which will give Andy a much better starting point for the exit discussions. Would be good to see a new financial PR appointed by time of the results at the very latest as the exit price should be all about newsflow from here.

Partly agree. Don't think we will see much press coverage as they did away with financial PR advisers three or four years ago. Think we should hear more about monitor in January as they will need to tell us a revenues number for 2022. Then there is the major new contract which must be a done deal for this lot to have pre-empted it. Not buying any more though until they get a new chair.MrC

Share trading before TU was non existent. The brokers need to drum up some interest and we need some press coverage imho. Not expecting any update on the new monitor before the end of Jan at the earliest..

Nice update, especially like the fact that the new monitor is only a few weeks away, but it has been a long wait. With Covid now seemingly more under control I would expect an increase in hospital prodeures despite the ever lengthening waiting queues.
