Encouraging to see the NED, employees and advisers all happy to take shares in DKL at these newly elevated levels rather than cash. And well done to Lincoln Moore for giving the bull case here an airing :o)) "We believe that, with palm oil prices trading above US1,000 per tonne, the peak harvest season in Cote d'Ivoire due to begin in the coming weeks and our high margin cashew processing project on course to commence operations in Q2 2021, this confidence is well-founded. With this in mind, we look forward to providing further updates on our progress." very narrow margin now 5.95/5.85. Not sure whether that's a sell signal or a gift horse?

Should get an upbeat note from Arden after this I reckon.

Agreed. Certainly a great Q4 performance like for like against 2019 in terms of both production and pricing. Plus confirmation that DKL has "finished the year with strong momentum" and should trade nicely in line. Most importantly, there's confirmation that the high season is imminent, that the cashew project remains on track, and that 2021 should see a "material uplift" given the sky-high CPO pricing currently being seen. The continuing monthly reporting should continue to provide regular positive news flow in this environment.

Excellent numbers and very positive outlook. Cashews on schedule and monthly reporting to continue for the time being. Big thumbs up from me.

Mach100 - thanks. The journey you describe is not unique to DKL - all young developing small caps endure these teething problems and growth pains. The good thing IMO is the board is learning from mistakes. Quite different from some on the market where the directors are incompetent, lack strategic vision or worse still are outright fraudulent. Judging DKL today with the benefit of hindsight I think many will agree they were wise to abandon the Norpalm deal, defer Guitry and focus on diversification. No doubt there will be new hurdles along the way with all the new projects but hopefully nothing the current team can't handle. So roll on the days, months, years, however long it takes when the 13p trade is basking in glory!

Nice to hear the longer view from Mach100.Should get the last monthly update (December) on Monday, unless the board stipulated otherwise.I have been watching the share price movement on and off all day. It's good that the thread is gaining some traction.

OutlawInvestor 8 Jan '21 - 16:14 - 1671 of 1672 Outlaw you haven't lived until you have been through the DKL mill. Been a holder since 2014 when there was a vary good thread started by a guy ( Mahrab?)who knew his stuff and posted very interesting things. I bought at 9p and 13p but that was before a share consolidation so paid .9p and 1.3p at the time. He stopped posting when the company brassed him off over some promises. Was going well for a few years and went to 20p at one stage before sinking down to 2p recently. There was a mill interruption that wasn;t planned for, storage issues unplanned for, numerous initiatives started but became the Marie Celeste of the investing world (Ghana, Norpalm, Guitry). High CPO prices not capitalised on, introduced a divi but quickly forced to abandon it, having a Mill can produce 70,000t of CPO per year but never getting anywhere near that. That said All's well that ends well and they are well meaning and have made many smart moves too. At this level DKL is a bargain.

For what it’s worth I think the macro position suits DKL Firstly, investors are rotating out of tech growth and into value. This is helpful. Additionally, we will see increased interest in small caps over 2021.Finally, the last Mqcto point I would make is that with all the fiscal stimulus quite a bit of the cash will find its way into commodities. I believe this is part, but not all of the reason for the CPO price increase. As for the company, it promises to be a good year but as many have noted there is many a slip between cup and lip. With the CPO price where it is, The promise of the new cashew plant, and other commodities there is a bright future.I am raising my medium term price target to 12p where I see some significant resistance. Also, watch out for the company using its more valuable currency to develop the business further.

DKL have had some bad luck and also some self-inflicted wounds I'm keen to learn more about these self-inflicted wounds. I only got into DKL from Apr last year alerted to it during my boring early morning scans of 7AM announcements! Pure luck IMO because after researching the company I think I would have made the same decision to buy anytime over the preceding 2-3 years. I didn't spot any historical red flags so for me my average holding price could just as well be 8.4p or higher. I think long term investors made the right call back then and admire those who were able to keep holding or even increase their exposure.

Cheers chadders (and rightnellie), I didn't realise it was my fault :o)) Glad you've done OK out of it. It's been a ride as you say, but now in very nice profit here. DKL have had some bad luck and also some self-inflicted wounds, but there was always going to be a time when CPO prices rose and DKL's core operations would be able to take advantage. Assuming DKL deliver a decent high season of production at anything like current CPO prices, then add in the forthcoming cashew production, and the potential upside is huge.

@mfhmfh - commodity 3, when it is eventually implemented, should help secure the long term profitability of the Ayenouan mill because it should boost mill utilisation which in the low season is roughly 25%. It's easy to see how mopping the extra capacity will contribute to the bottomline. I presume (actually, hope) it will be a product equal or higher value than PKO like CCNO.

rightnellie, thanks for the mention. As it happens it was a post from rivaldo several years ago that first brought this to my attention, a so big up to him. It's been a roller coaster since mind you but quality will always out. This is now a three bagger from the desperate lows last year. I reckon it'll be a ten bagger by the second half of next year if it all goes to plan. There's a reason LM was getting increasingly bullish as the second half of last year unfolded - there's nobody closer. Long term holder and no advice intended.

Anyone use Twitter? Link to Dekel's Twitter account https://twitter.com/DekelAgriVision Glad to see this is starting to move towards it's true value. If you'd have followed Chadders and Rivaldo's advice you could have bought in at around 2p. Think 7 to 8 p is time to pause and judge what effect the cashew processer will have on the value of the company. This may be one to hold for the longer term as they seem to have an ambitious development plan. The high profit from this year's palm oil crop will help them fund their further development.

I reckon there's a stock shortage right now. As mentioned earlier this is still way below it's historic levels and all the ducks are in a row, high season, high prices and second high margin product a few months away.

don't forget the 4th commodity to be announced - more likely to happen now that we have high CPO prices so likely more cash available to invest. IMHO.
