19/10/2016 13:43 | Can anyone explain all of these buys? Placing not confirmed yet but the price isn't moving. | wordog
12/10/2016 11:14 | Levkovitz, I agree that the trade receivables is abnormally high, given that the business is based on licence renewals it may allow them to show a higher figure for receivables than they would actually ever receive. The fact that the Directors bought a significant amount of stock is encouraging, if the price was not. | wordog
12/10/2016 09:53 | Solid buying for ty last few days but only up 5%, the buys look like genuine buys too! | wordog
12/10/2016 09:42 | Am I the only one to think that the timing and price of this issue is not exactly a sign of strength? I suppose we'll have to wait for full results, but to me things don't add up on the cash flow. It appears only a small part of outstanding trade receivable has been collected. I think it is not unreasonable to be suspicious about these being impaired in the future. But if they do manage to bring the cash in and revenues continue to develop, I think there is lots of room well above the highs. | levkowitz

20/8/2016 17:25 | I think it seems a good deal, Memopal has been stagnant for some time since the initial growth, they have obviously struggled to continue to grow further. This deal should unlock some potential and increase revenues for all offerings as each company gain access to the customer books. I'm expecting some positive news in the half year announcements, i believe the Android app would have had a significant uptake as alluded to by the CFO. | wordog

20/8/2016 14:27 | I took some time and had a look at the annual accounts for 2015 for Memopal. While my Italian isn't great, I think I get the gist of it. As far as I can tell, the company had some 600K of short-term loans, much of which I presume were assumed by DFX as part of the deal. Other than that, Memopal seemed to be doing alright but not really going anywhere. I read it that the earnings numbers in the RNS include 261K EUR of capitalized development costs, which might be a tad bit optimistic. Overall, I think I'm warming somewhat to the deal. But ultimately, we'll have to wait and see if the enlarged customer base will lead to more sales for the whole product range. I'm starting to think about increasing my holdings. Anyone got an idea on what percentage of the shares are effectively tied up? | levkowitz
13/8/2016 12:36 | Yes, should be interesting to see. I'm still hoping to see something happening with the NAS segment. This sounded really good on paper, but it seems there is pretty much zero revenue to show for it. I suppose the FX rates could help with the euro now being worth some 15% more in sterling. Either way, it doesn't seem there is terribly much trading at pretty much any price point and the tiniest of trades can move the price a lot. For me this is more of a mid/long-term play, so I am pretty happy to wait and see. | levkowitz
09/8/2016 23:29 | Agree with all your points, similarly the trade receivables was an aspect I had some concern about. Half year due around October I reckon, hold on until then. | wordog
09/8/2016 19:56 | Personally, I was quite pleased with the full year numbers with one important exception: trade receivables and therefore cash flow. With everything else the same and the company collecting outstanding cash as projected we should see some good progress on cash flow. I'm not so sure about the acquisition, but the deal structure doesn't seem too bad and I do see a compelling case for cross-selling the offerings. I would really like to see some significant positive cash flow for 2016. | levkowitz
09/8/2016 18:10 | SP down 10% since acquisition news which is commensurate with the amount of share dilution (total). We have however taken on an extra E500000 of debt, I hope the amalgamated customer book brings some new contracts. Am I right in thinking the half year accounts will be pre-acquisition and therefore likely to be impressive when you consider the Android App sales? | wordog

04/8/2016 13:47 | [...] Philipp Prince, chief financial officer of Defenx (LON:DFX) tells Proactive that the recent deal to acquire cloud-backup business Memopal will really enhance its offering for channel partner brands. “It’s a one-stop-shop solution that we will really enjoy integrating into our offering,” he says. “What they offer makes them very rare in the market.” The acquisition adds ten technologists to the table, says Prince, which is a big boost of talent for the team. It also gives it access to the location in Rome, which Prince says is a good place to expand the business and bring in more talent. “The Memopal buy is absolutely on message with our strategy,” says Prince. | wordog

02/8/2016 07:26 | This acquisition should open new doors to customers for the mobile offering. The add ons seem favourable to DFX with high targets, looks like a good deal on face value. | wordog

19/7/2016 15:22 | Really think these guys are working a strong business model with growing sales pipeline. Half year results look positive. | wordog
12/7/2016 10:29 | Two more channel partners added to the sales pipeline, I have a good feeling about the next financial report now that the Aim admission charges and product development costs have cleared from the balance sheet we should see some significant profits coming through. | wordog
