10/1/2005 18:56 | Anyone still watch this thread? We were supposed to received a few more pence per share by 31/12/04. Does anyone know where this has got to? | mjcrockett
26/10/2003 06:11 | Shaffted by the same management team that brought Dataflex from amstrad, floated it made a wedge and now back to private again,Wonnder when they will float the new company! | bangers for bucks
08/10/2003 07:38 | another one bites the dust . . . . . . #12.8 million will be available for distribution to Shareholders, representing between approximately 16.1 pence and 18.5 pence per Share. The closing middle market price per Share on 7 October 2003, the business day before this announcement, was 12.75 pence. | graham99114
12/9/2003 19:07 | The results are out before the end of September although there is no firm date set as yet. | quinn20
12/9/2003 11:15 | Been a big delay in final results. Should have been out in July/August. Interims were 22 Jan 03. Not a good sign!? | martin c-j
04/9/2003 14:54 | This has been a disastrous investment since going public, The board have made no announcem, ents since Jan03. They must have gound no buyers for the remaining rump of the business and are in a complete quandary what route to take . Liquidating and winding up must be on the cards. By law the directors must announce the situation by end of October. Possibly the threat of legal action will be the only way to See what the harsh reality is | rabbrooks
04/9/2003 09:12 | Morning Guys, I'm new to DFX, and I'm just starting my own research on them, and have heard some good things about them but would like some brief comments on them, like Short, Medium & Long term expectations for them.... Your thoughts really....... Any info would be greatly appreciated...... | johnnyuk
28/8/2003 00:08 | Previously NCH was trading at a 50% discount to net cash, now it's trading 15% premium to net cash. Unlike DFX, NCH has never been profitable. True, but unlike DFX, NCH appears to be moving forward to profitability rather than struggling to stop moving backward. That said, a discount compared to NCH may be warranted but this large a discount to cash probably is not. | stewjames
27/8/2003 10:47 | Slight dip today. 14.75 to 13.8 MMs shaking the tree? This one has been creeping along under the radar for some time now. Maybe something is about to happen although no message on RNS as yet. If the co is to be put up for sale, I believe they have a product range which will sell without too much trouble. | abdulkabooli
14/8/2003 23:10 | DFX is still undervalued compared to most techs, even after today's rise. Net cash at year-end was 21p. FIO and NCH have a similar profile to DFX, i.e. large net cash balance,loss-making and low cash burn. FIO and NCH now trade above their net cash balance. Ncipher,NCH, in particular had seen a substantially re-rating. Previously NCH was trading at a 50% discount to net cash, now it's trading 15% premium to net cash. Unlike DFX, NCH has never been profitable. | chuckie egg
14/8/2003 16:30 | 100,000 buy just gone through, I notice that most trades are reported late making all these buys show up as sells. Maybe there is something in this bid rumour. Fairly safe hold with them still below net cash. | fez
14/8/2003 16:28 | Now over 140,000 shares traded, more than double since last hour. Something definately afoot here. This is not a ramp but just letting anyone who is interested know. | skiski
14/8/2003 16:09 | On the move again. 20P by close on Friday. | skiski
14/8/2003 16:06 | Yes I agree about the fact that not all trades are showing. On this site show's only a few thousand traded, whereas on another I use "nothingventured" shows up as over 60,000. Have been expecting something to happen soon. | skiski
14/8/2003 15:56 | Other information he gave is that for the last week or so fund managers have also been buying into it. Many of the buys are not being displayed, cos I do not see my own two buys. I have never used this thread but felt the need to share this information with you all. | chameli
14/8/2003 15:51 | Nothing less than 20P | skiski
14/8/2003 15:49 | I just found out from my broker the reason for the step up in DFX. Mm is expecting a bid for it. Bo get in, if you wish. | chameli
14/8/2003 14:43 | Creeping up slowly, maybe a larger move on the cards? | skiski
12/8/2003 15:05 | DFX: The story in whole tech sector is quite similar. It was so so tough for buiz since 2001 (everybody knows the reason). Then this has driven many stocks unproportionally low. DFX's technique is sound and finanical background is good although with profit loss(in line with many others). However, the upturn is coming as IT and Telecom sector are being re-adjusted. This will be push DFX back into faviour. In effect, it has started moved north now. Grasp the chance to add and buy. This one will give you very big return. No need to wait until it is too hot. | likestock
02/8/2003 00:14 | Chuckie Egg, Agree with everything you say-let's hope the egg hatches soon and is not 'addled' Regards | addict
01/8/2003 11:53 | Not sure whether they should be monkey nuts or the things that go with bolts to mend things...oh the agony of waiting for the outcome of the strategic review...how will we battle through another week-end carrying the heavy burden.Anyone remember that old song-'the sound of silence'... | addict
01/8/2003 11:52 | The annual results were due on 25th July 03. I think the delay is spooking the markets as DFX has not participated in the tech rally. Usually a delay in reporting results means financial troubles or corporate action. With 22p net cash per share, I doubt it is in financial troubles. I hoping for the later. Although DFX is loss making, it is trading on a substantial disount to cash. With other tech stocks such as RFT, IMG,TFC etc rising +100%, DFX is due for a move. RFT,IMG,TFC prospects have not changed much in the last 3 months, they're still loss-making and eating up cash. I say DFX is a good risk/reward. | chuckie egg
01/8/2003 09:29 | Give that 25k buyer a bag of nuts! | addict
01/8/2003 08:20 | Something's brewing here methinks! | addict |
