I have two kids at University. Hence I saved a bit before they went to University and I am now releasing these savings to my SIPP each month. Income assessable for Maintenance Grants and Bursary's are assessed as gross income less pension contributions in the year. If you reduce your income by this manner you pump up your SIPP and your kids get max maintenance grant and also tax free bursary (in my kids cases £2-3k per annum each).
You need to get your income net of pension contributions down to around £24k per annum.
Top PATT tax tip.

I tend to put shares in a SIPP that might go crazy and substantially bump my pension, where it won't bother me not being able to get the money out in a lump. In fact, there would be a danger of seeing a massive gain if they were in an ISA of spending it.

Other ones in an ISA, where it would take a miracle or alien intervention for them to ever multiply a lot.

Thanks I also bought in at 1.5pAnd was tempted to sell here but have decided to keep a while longer Tell me,how do you decide what goes into a Sipp? As I have 55pct tax I like to take a bit more risk with a Sipp but do you thinkThat's wrong strategy ? (I have a lot of btc in it !!)

nico

I just bought a few times whenever it was 1.5-2. Its in a SIPP as I think its one of those, that if it does get going, it could be part of the future of chemistry. No idea what chance it has at present though, but recent tie-ups are very promising.

Parob....IMO we are reaching the point where the seller (cannot remember his name) reaches the level of shares that he wants to keep long term. Then this price will rise to a new level to reflect the series of new long term agreements. Whatever the sums are for the customers, they will not be immaterial.
We will see but I am very happy to have begin buying at 2p.

deutsch....better stay with more transparent companies. the amount that strategic partners pay for DMTR functionality is closely guarded secret. No way any customer wants anybody to know what they are paying and likewise for DMTR...Simples!

Paid full offer price for my final top up this morning. Don't want to speak too soon but it does appear that the seller that's been holding the price back has stopped!Golden cross just days away.

Because it has but its not relevant any more.

Speaking for myself, I haven’t bought in to dig around in relatively unimportant revenues of the past and certainly not to engage with someone who clearly has issues.

Did you see my Q about confidentiality / data input ? Just curious as I think you have a better grip on the details than me.
