Added some 1st thing on that Crystal Amber assessment. Have DLAR mentioned this before
'Separately, De La Rue is exploring the potential to use blockchain technology'.
Don't know much about blockchain but its flavour of the month.

Knocking on R1 door, if we can get through, should see a move up to test R2 relatively quickly

Crystal Amber on DLAR this morning....The Fund believes that De La Rue's current equity valuation is significantly mispriced. At ten times calendar 2021 forecast earnings, the Fund believes that the valuation fails to reflect either its growth prospects or its operational upside. The Fund strongly believes that its strategic value is far in excess of its current market capitalisation.

De la Rue don't just print stuff. Their authentication division already provides digital solutions to track goods through supply chains. If they want to pursue this covid certificate idea, they're most definitely not limited to just printing hard certificates.

Weekend papers suggest vaccine certificates for those who don't have access to an app. Hopefully DLAR should be in the running

Buys outnumbering sells again, but the old share price drops.
This has happened before with DLAR.

gougmachin, I think you also need to read up on digital passports for covid. It is a cellphone app - DLAR prints stuff

I imagine this passports will likely be through an app on a smartphone, or a card with a barcode. This can then be swiped at an airport prior to flying or even when you book the ticket to travel. Not sure if DLAR should be devoting to much energy to this topic, it is likely quite a simple process to administer.

"What's the thoughts on de la rue benefitting from the new digital passports that Sweden and Denmark are set to bring in by summer? Can see this gaining traction with other countries keen to get tourism back on track."

I thought that DLAR was into passports, that was part of the reason for the historical drop when they lost the UK contract.

So surely they could benefit from a contract from any form of improvement in passport technology.

Or maybe I need to re-read about their core business areas!

How would the digital passports benefit de la rue?

Their digital products (analytics, track and trace) linked to physical products such as labels tax stamps and currency?

29th Jan, 1st & 2nd Feb showing buys much higher than sells on ADVFN.
But share price dropping. share price not moving so fast for ADVFN to get these wrong.
Normally ADVFN identifies the buy / sells reasonably well.
Any thoughts on this?
