23/8/2013 09:15 | Well it is a pure gamble for any investors now, its not as if their technology is world class beating or visionary, leading, future adoptive is it?This was my stance when this was 25p, 21p, 18p and now at 10p. I see more anguish to come as DDD try to stem the departure of its revenue streams. | quilarvium
23/8/2013 09:06 | Q You are correct in one respect that there has been a hiatus in the transition from PCs to tablets. But just as there has been a slump in the PC market there is and will continue to be a correspondingly huge jump in the tablet and mobile market. | janatha
23/8/2013 08:57 | Sell whilst you can! | quilarvium
23/8/2013 08:56 | Well look ladies and gents!Facts are facts!PC market is over as smart phones and tablets take over.3D has not caught on in over 50 years since its development and still is a fad.DDD are in debt, not making money and are know in the crosshairs of change from PC to tablet, something they did not have a noting envy plan for! It's over and its time to sell before they go under.DYOR......the facts will still be the facts. | quilarvium
23/8/2013 08:41 | janatha It is always a mistake to buy stocks on the basis of technology. It is the business that counts. | zipless
23/8/2013 08:39 | The DDD fans have been saying for ages that the PC market would make DDD's fortune. Reality has finally shown the PC market being a disaster. DDD's cash won't lat long with a major drop in revenue that is indicated. | zipless
23/8/2013 08:35 | Deltagirl Agreed. share price has more than halved in last few months. The slump in PC sales has been out of CY's hands. I bought into DDD on the basis of the technology and just as importantly my confidence in CY. | janatha
23/8/2013 08:25 | I think most of this news was already in the share price - they said in April that they expected the PC market to fall but today's Edison note says that the fall was more severe than expected after . On the plus side TV market posted 16% YOY growth and they seem to be working on a new technology for 2D streaming. Will be interested to read the full financials next month. DG | deltagirl
23/8/2013 08:25 | I held these back in 2010 and sold out for a small profit then regretted it as I watched the share price climb and always hoped to get back in at some point. But after today's news I think I'll hang on to my cash. Off topic, take a look at PPS. I've posted some research on the bb with info that is yet to be announced. | cliley454
23/8/2013 08:16 | This has just dropped below the 11p support level. The next major support I'd at around 7p. The trading update is terrible. 3D solutions group DDD expects first half revenues to be approximately $2.4m compared with 2012's $4.0m. DDD says this is due to a fall in demand for its 2D to 3D conversion software as the global PC market continues to decline. | zipless
23/8/2013 07:38 | Out, was LTH. One less dog to worry about. "Why stand in middle of road trying to catch horse when you can turn corner and catch 100 horses?"- Chinese proverb, at last remembered. | philo124
23/8/2013 07:12 | looks like the market is in decline already.. clearly this is not the growth stock people expected. | still waiting
23/8/2013 06:22 | Quite right brokeroad. I bought & sold out in June at a loss. Although I was a tad cross @ the time I have a distinct feeling I'm going to be rather more happy today. It would not surprise me to see this drop over 25% on the news. If so it may give directors the chance to buy stock & give investors some sort of consolation, as long as its not a closed period. | cocker
23/8/2013 06:15 | The trading update must call into question the viability of the business. | brokeroad
22/8/2013 09:16 | Overhang from Blackrock clearing? | bonio10000
21/8/2013 07:18 | Can you post the link that said there will be an August trading statement please? | poombear
20/8/2013 19:45 | Keeping us waiting for the promised, mid-August update. Presumably it will come at some point this week. | dvda
19/8/2013 15:57 | Good to see it is still hundreds of % above Zippy's price target. anyone selling when Zippy first posted, would have lost money. Wonder if there will be a capital restructuring announced to allow a small dividend? | bonio10000
19/8/2013 13:02 | The old addage "better to travel than arrive" is very apt here - arrived at profit for the first time and price drops as more speculative holders lose interest. Held this from 40p down to 3p, saw it bounce back up & sold some so no real "in" cost, hence happy to siot and wait it out. It's now on another trend down but would be surpised if DDD is not going to make it from here. Just not stellar at present and will not be until the overhang of all those rights issues along the way have been worked out into a broader market. Technology remains neat thought still. | roger63
19/8/2013 05:28 | ? Do you know the difference between cause and effect and coincidence? | bonio10000 |
