06/7/2013 15:13 | ZPLS The opposite view is that this would seem to strengthen the case for DDD's technology if there is less original 3D content to watch as their tech converts normal 2D content to 3D. Not that the BBC was making that much in 3D to begin with compared to Sky 3D and others. With 60+ million 3D TVs forecast to be made this year, it seems unlikely that the TV manufacturers have given up on the feature. DDD's smart TV streaming movie service would also seem to be a more practical approach to getting 3D content into punters' living rooms with some solid potential. DG | deltagirl
05/7/2013 19:00 | A loud chorus of "I told you so!" US 3D services are stopping broadcasting as well. DDD should drop through the floor. Recent figures from the US suggest no more than 120,000 people are watching 3D channels at any one time 3p or less anyone? FBT next! | zipless
05/7/2013 15:03 | Looks like its all over for 3D 5 July 2013 "BBC 3D programming 'on hold' indefinitely The BBC is to suspend 3D programming for an indefinite period due to a "lack of public appetite" for the technology..." | ![]() someuwin

27/6/2013 11:20 | 3D is dead as a service. There is almost no 3D content being transmitted or available. It will just be a matter of time before they stop putting 3D features in TVs. | zipless
27/6/2013 10:45 | Zipless you can try to pursuede the gullable that 3D is dead, but it is not. Fact is that only basic TV's are not 3D capable and customers want that capability when purchasing. 3D is on customers list, just not the number 1 choice, it would be good if you stop confusing the two. | ![]() zero the hero
24/6/2013 21:01 | More pain ahead for DDD as south east crisis diminishes appetite for expansion. Mobile device expansion continues to break all known data plans as new application developers rejuvenate 4d technology interfaces. This aligned to new media interface will hasten to dull claims of inept 3d companies that have failed to embrace this technology. This in my opinion is a sell. | quilarvium

14/6/2013 17:58 | Sounds like desperation to for a special partnership to show what can be viewed on 3D TV. The result of consumers not being interested in 3D. Another nail in the 3D coffin and about time it was buried. | zipless
14/6/2013 12:21 | And I am sure that the 3D service was the most expensive and the least used of all. | zipless |
