another 100k (Schroders)....big question now is where are these going to?

the MM's simply would not take them unless they already had a home - imo there is a big buy being filled which will declare once complete.

Given their current drip feeding of sells, it potentially could slow down any rally on a good trading statement later this month unless they have been fully absorbed by our buyer before the rns is released.

of course, a positive offer update & they can sell the lot.

another couple being absorbed by the MM's from Schroders...they must already have a home allocated - but where...we haven't had an II rns yet to indicate a holding increase despite their selling

70k sold on lse & 95k bought on plus...


696k the threshold for notifying the market at the moment, so I guess there could be a few pi's just under that level who have been picking stock up..

not that we want additional volatility, but we are almost within T-traders timeframe for the results to be released

The unique thing now though is every transaction needs to be RNS'd due to the bid situation, so we should be getting a more magnified example of holdings announcements than usual.

Its not the normal 3% rule, its anything above 1%, and then any subsequent transaction, not just moving through whole percentage point holdings, hence why Shroders and Brewin have had to announce relatively small trades.

Out of interest I found out they actually have to pay £50 to make each RNS statement.

I would expect there to be notifications as and when the MM's acquired 3%, and then each additional percentage along the way. The actual trade itself might not be reported until it was complete however.

Although I guess that in notifiying each %-age increment, this might have the effect of the share price going above the 9p target price due to people buying in alongside a new II holder, which it might not if they onyl notify the mkt once the transaction is complete...

From memory though, the II seller in CAD notified the market as their holding dropped through each %-age, so the reverse should also be the case.

Ive been surprised to not see more RNS's of increased holdings, when you consider how much Schroders have been selling.

So, maybe this is a daft question, or hopefully someone with more detailed knowledge can help answer this. If a buyer said to a broker, buy me 10,000,000 up to 9p, is the position only held once the purchase has been completed? and until that point the shares are still held by the MMs who are soaking up sells ready to fill a buy? or would they have to declre partial holdings at each close of day?

I really need to learn more about the MM world, can anyone recommend any particular books or sources? thanks in advance.

Just noticed some reasonable buying on Friday pm via plus...near 170k at 8.45p (Schroders selling a bit more maybe to give that sort of discount)

current spread 8.45/8.01
