Is it possible that Kingswood are lining up to buy part of this or all of it out of administration for peanuts? It is the only reason I can think them supporting the BOD as they will re employ the BOD for new co?

Why buy a big stake and then in effect vote for the company to go into administration????

this all stinks if a reptable business man feels there is a potential to get the company back to profitability in 12 months surely the BOD are not compitent to be running the business? Other than if they have a hiden agenda to feather their own nests. IMO. I only have small 5ok holding but recieved no information about Mr D Anthony's proposals, and no option how to vote as funds held by nominee account. Surely there is no alternative for shareholders other than to give DA a chance as this board says there is no value for shjareholders. Bring on another EGM asap i say!!!!!!

...There must be hope for a guy of DA's stature to sort something with them ??

Interesting note on the RNS...

"The Board of Davenham has noted the continued volatility in the Company's share price over recent days and would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that (whilst the Board remains open to reviewing any credible opportunities for a solvent reconstruction of the Group) the Board remains of the view that it is likely that there will be no value for shareholders."

He was only 4m shares behind with 12m non voters to go at next time!!!!

I've a real good feeling after chatting to both DA and GJ.

Spoke to DA and GJ.

There was a staggering 12m shares that didn't vote!!!!

He is seriously considering calling another egm, as they were bouyed to a certain degree that 45% ish of shares.....didn't vote this time!

I will be buying more on the dips!!!! ;)))

Neither can I now so bailed out. Seems too much stacked against him, major shareholder backing board for some strange reason and shareholders unable to vote due to no/lack of info. GLA in this and I hope it comes right for you all holding..You deserve the rewards if it does!

TDW are terrible at running their online nominee corporate action service - but they do make good if you telephone them - I had the same problem with IHUK over attending their Manchester AGM.... zip online, but I gave TDW a call and recieved a letterheaded permission to vote x amount of stock held in nominee, complete with seals and stamps - 48hr turnaround so their not all bad imho

I've met GJ in a previous life and think he's good calibre. I don't know what plans he and DA have in mind, but there will be something which offers shareholders and staff a better outcome than if the present scenario just runs its course. I am wondering if the idea is to merge with Secure Trust Bank and still think that might be the idea as GJ obvioulsy knows that business very well and has possibly identified synergies between the two and an ability to generate cost savings in both businesses. I do think there will be some form of merger plan, but it may not be with STB. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. By the way, I hold no shares and my comments are mere musings.

SW - surely the bods salaries/perks can't have much mileage left anyway as this is only going one way if DA unsuccessful - albeit, may take a little longer I suppose
