Its called a wave motion and Darty diplays it better than most. Remember the share price jumped BECAUSE of the recommendations and will drop back on profit taking before moving ahead again (IMO)

a 15-19% retracement with two brokers upping their PT & forecast?
Kingfisher PW blamed on France had no effect on DRTY's share price

I can't figure out how Christmas' sales has done so far in France, probably a bit more subdued than in the UK. Darty does not produce any tablets, unlike DXNS, so product mix should be ~ gross margin negative.

Hi Bluesky.

Darty is lagging behind in the e-commerce party, compared to say DXNS, local C&C FNAC and faces competition from Boulanger (backed by Auchan Family) or CDiscount (teamed-up with Casino).

This may help them catching up (at a price):

whats a TA thread?

Incidentally after the recent move up, we are looking technically expensive, both on a historic chart basis and a relative strength basis above 80. I would therefore expect a pull-back to around 81-84p before further gains. I have sold part of my holding on this basis.

This is all my opinion only

I started this thread back in April when the price was 48p having seen the potential here.

Today, after one attempt and a pull back a few weeks ago,it has cracked through the 90p barrier to further its advance.

This is nearly 100% since April and what does surprise me is that this is under the trader radar as not many have picked up on this at all.

FNAC's making a come back with a new strategy to expand into DRTY's turf.
CDiscount's alliance with Casino taking shares in the click & collect market, 3rd most visited website and growing vs DTRY 14th most visisted and shrinking.

New DTRY's ads quite refreshing though, away from the ageing and bland "contrat de confiance" one.

But if Dixons moves up, so should DTRY innit?

HELLO!

DRTY just woke up again A break over 89.5p should lead to an attack on the 91.5p high IMO.

not posted on here for a while.

DRTY recently hit a high of 91.5p intraday and looks set to better that over the coming weeks.

I started this thread in April when the price was 48p and am more then happy to continue with a long term hold on this.

Over looked by most and has more potential to come IMO.

I've gone long on very long on commodities and pms, so exited lots of otherwise promising positions including this one.

DRTY now at 83p is looking set up for another strong push north IMO.

Cracking little share this and well under the trader radar still as most eyes are fixed on DXNS and this has been over looked.

Brucie:

May post on August 25th obviously didn't inspire you to hold for the break out.

EVR:

I never touch any thing that is down trending below a down trending 50dma and 200dma as EVR is.

Once it gets over the 50 dma at circa 120p then it will get more interesting.

Macd is starting to look bullish though.

Mr. Bluesky,

These are interesting times for the pi. Retail was really last year's golden opportunity, along with selected media (TNI, ITV!) - though the rally continues with shares like DRTY, SGP, DXNS, MTC, all of which I hold. The bear market in mining could be another such opportunity, though difficult to see if we've merely reached an oversold position. I took some FRES and FXPO a fortnight ago, and they seem to be doing well, but stil not in real reversal mode. Would be interested in having your view on EVR for a speculative position - which I took this am. Chart looks promising.. See you there?

Brucie:

chart looking very good and still very much under the radar of the so called pro traders.

DRTY are doing what they have to do cut off the dead wood and turn the company around so this is defo a rescue stock atm that will very soon become a recovery stock and then a growth stock.

By then maybe it will get some more attention, but I for one am glad I spotted this shortly after it double bottomed at circa 40p.

Looks like a great chart to me, with a potential retrace all the way back up. Only thing is, to watch out for those peaks and troughs, and to come in at a trough rather than a peak...

DRTY charts are turning bullish now at 64p.

MACD just about to cross over and should see a run up to test the recent high of 80p IMO

Net liabilities of euro 260 mil and they pay an unchanged divi? worse still current liabilities 905 mil and current assets of 756 mil. Thats a conpany in trouble who are adding to the problem by paying dividends. They shouls cancel the divi until they become profitable. That would be more in the shareholders interests
