Do not open. The same link is being posted all over the BB, under different poster names.

Skyship, interesting you think Mountview is a sell in your 1146 post. I think with the revaluation coming up shortly and the residential market coming alive again I would not be a seller. As to shorting the stock, well that is for the brave with such a small market and float. There is also a potential of SDLT being altered/tinkered with in the budget.

Konrad - didn't like my 1136 & 1146 then? As for people buying in quantity - it is routine during an offer for the house to be buying in stock offered at below the full cash offer level, ie the buyer is Centremanor.

Nothing much. Holding quite a lot of cash at this point in the cycle.

top vest, armed with the booty from those nice people at Daejan, what have you got your eyes on? I am devoid of ideas in the property sector apart from Mountview which has moved up of late. There is now the profolio revaluation coming mind as BREXIT is done. AS an aside, why would people be buying in quantity just below the bid price on Friday? Maybe it is Crispin Odey taking a stake to try and get a few quid more out of those nice folk at Daejan!

Well I missed this yesterday. Obviously very good news, but tinged with a bit of sadness as well. The UK stock market is getting a smaller pool to fish in, year in year out. A good profit though, and probably near the top of the market.

Hi Hybrasil - thnx, yes, all as my above post. What with my luck with GGP - my tip of the Year on my JDT thread - 2020 has been a great one so far... Hope all well with you; and those darned politicians of your's manage to keep Mary Lou McDonald out of the frame!

Konrad – to possibly misquote Keynes – “When the facts change, I change my mind”. One of the most important homilies to adopt in the ever-changing investment game. I sold my HCFT as the Retail Warehouse valuations declined. They’ve held up very well however, so I may be wrong. The next set of numbers to Dec’19 will be crucial. As for DJAN, it was a fortuitous combination of the Technical (interesting base formation chart); the Fundamental (The discount moving to the edge of the 30%-60% range) and the “DiversityR21; story. That just had to be the clincher for the family to opt out of public company status. It had to happen soon; but wasn’t expecting it quite so soon after my 14th February post. Sheer luck that…

There does not yet seem to be a reference to the Offer on the Daejan website? Says it all really

As I understand the offer is “final” and therefore, under the Takeover Code, cannot be improved

Solomon Benjamin Benaim is not independent. & why would Solly rock the Freshwater boat. He has sold the minorities down the river for his own lucre.

I have read Note 5. The Freshwater clan have not taken any strategic steps to minimise the yawning discount to NTAV over the years. Dividend policy. Share Buybacks. Communication. Although they have collected significant "emoluments". I do not believe the Independent Director has received appropriate support.

Skyskip, funny thing is I thought you were 'all in' Highcroft. You must have changed your mind about this stock since May last year when you said the dividend would never close. O.K. it is still there but much less after today.

redponzi, I would not be so sure. If they get slaughtered in the press or if a reasonable percentage hold out, well you never know. I will be selling in the market.

Since the withdrawal agreement in late October 2019, the property market and property market shares have had a very good run. I think the NAV per share is at least £130 today, so this deal is very good for the Freshwaters, and good for everyone else too, because we can get out without a loss, but it could have been so much better and is not really "fair" if the shares are actually worth so much more.

Re Konradpuss: Pretty obvious that the family does not care about publicity.... So take the cash and go away... This is the best we can ask for really....

I just wonder if a bit of bad publicity - i.e. rumping the small shareholder might just bring forward a higher offer.
