Just had this from IR

All the best

Thanks for contacting us and apologies for the delay in replying – I was awaiting feedback on this from our CFO, Carmel Warren.

She has commented that the reported Accounts Receivable figure was unusually high because of two very large sales invoices towards the end of September. This has already been reduced significantly by subsequent payments and, with remaining payments due this week, this has resulted in a positive impact on cashflow.

I hope this helps to explain the situation.

Best wishes,

David Hetling

Thanks for the comments.
We needed that as cash flow was a bit of an issue. Looking forward to great 2nd half.

Below is Finncap's comment on the cashflow:

Cashflow. A large project was invoiced (through partner SAS) at the end of
September, due this month. It left £4.7m working capital outflow in H1 and lifted
trade debtors from £2.8m to £7.0m at September. The resultant £2.6 Free
Cash Outflow and £0.5m dividend reduced net cash from £3.4m at last year
end to £0.1m. We are reassured this is a major, long standing global banking
client which is in good standing and payment is due imminently. With the usual
strong cashflow we expect D4t4 to finish the year with around £6.0m net cash.

Oregano. I do agree that the receivables could have been explained in the narrative, however, this is just a HY report and managing cash flow is essentially 'business as usual' and hence the reason it was probably not highlighted. Of course as investors a large number of us (me included) like details, however, on a lot of occasions trust has to be put the management especially in small caps. Good luck to all holders moving into 2017 anyway.

according to Fincap, it is all owed by one tier one bank, so a non issue. but fairly simple to explain that in the statement.

Oregano, I thought that the increased in receivables to (5211) compared to 2121 in the corresponding period 12 months earlier at least needed some descriptive text from management. Possibly this has contributed to the share price drift today although after a good run that may have happened anyway.

I have the company on my watch list but would like this little item clearing up and explained before I but the buy button.

Any holders got any views?

Something to do with the terrible cash generation i expect.

It does management no favours when they ignore a problem issue, rather than explaining it.
