This should bag on contract news. Contract delayed, Not postponed. Delayed reason explained because of the Indian Election earlier this year. That's not Cyan fault at all.

Good start to the day and a few descent sized buys gone through. Posts on another site indicate that the delay to orders being awarded was genuine and outside the control of Cyan. Interestin times ahead.

In two and a half years, you've had just one page hit on this thread from India.

Courtesy of and thanks to Longterminvestor on the LSE thread.... Gives an idea of issues, earnings, margins and prospects of smart metering in India from an independent listed business in the sector in India. Genus is one of our big partners in India as a Tier 1 meter manufacturer. Http://genuspower.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Transcript_Investor-ConCall-24.10.2019.pdf

Hi Realist Been here a while too as you know. Been out for a couple years now, but find it compulsive for some strange reason. I've been in and out over the years, with varying degrees of failure :) I remember selling out one time at 1.05p old money (210p currently) having bought higher :( so I can see the scale of destruction here. I get the sense that the penny is finally dropping here for multibagger, but looks like it may be too late.

Make the most of it as it won't stay this cheap for long that's for sure. Soon as those contracts are signed this will multibag. Even with the sells this morning I'm still finding it hard to buy a volume. Strange that as it indicates a large order being filled.

MTW, there are so many issues here imo. If only I had the time to list a summary - a breakdown - of my observations from the past 10 years + of watching this company... This listing alone has taught me so (SO) much about the mindset and psychology of the retail investment community at large... The bigger picture that emerges from steadfastly following a business, for better or for worse, over a long period of time is invaluable.

deltalo… the territory is not unknown at all. This is classic shareholder value destruction as only Cyan knows how.

I'm only astonished the MM's have been as generous as they have been for quite so long. The fall ISN'T just because of a poorly WORDED rns (as Multibagger on the other thread would have you believe).

One day punters may stop and listen to a bit of realism. All the recent hot money is now underwater.

Honesty is always to be applauded in any RNS and I have absolutely no issue with that. I would not expect anything less and would sell out if there was the slightest doubt of BoD integrity in my mind around their motives. As I said before, IMHO this was a c*ock up, rather than a malign conspiracy. A very expensive schoolboy error in handling communications. CYAN BoD and YJ need to attend a course on "how to deliver bad news" !! Hopefully, there won't be too many other occasions to put their new found knowledge to use.

I suppose it must be a bit of a shock to long term investors to have an honest RNS from this company!

multibagger, witter away, I suspect most long suffering shareholders are right behind you. If one was being cynical, one would say the RNS was designed to lower the shareprice. Employee options on the way? I bought a few more this morning, but that's enough for me now until there is good news (real good news rather than hopeful!) Best regards SBP

Hi Davep4, Yes the RNS alluded to the Indian General Election but was woefully short of detail and as not every investor understands or appreciates the impact of such events. Not every one is able to join the dots or follows the CYAN story closely. An important aspect of releasing such market moving information is that it should be presented in a manner that anticipates and answers FAQs that any reasonable investor would ask. The RNS released had all the delicacy, nuance and subtlety of a Taser discharge and no wonder the market is still convulsing from the same. As you can see, I have not come to terms with such appalling communication. My apologies for wittering on.
