16/4/2019 08:38 | Connode pre-sold 500k of Licenses, and it’s very unlikely RF installations will get past that figure this year,(Cyan will only receive further License Fees after 500k RF installations).
From memory the License Fee is approximately £3.50 per RF installation.
However, there is still the royalty which I believe is about 60p p.a. paid when the RF installation goes live. | davep4
14/4/2019 07:35 | Many thanks to Vascular and ImperialLondon on the other thread...
Keep track of UK SMETS2 national rollout on Https://www.smartdcc.co.uk
Apparently 500k smart meters installed between Jan and 10 Apr 2019, which would mean about 5000 smart meters being installed daily. If 20% are "not spots", then 1000 smart meters being switched on daily with CYAN technology.
That sounds like some decent triggering revenues and maintenance contract revenues building. | multibagger
12/4/2019 09:40 | This thread frequently heralds the expertise of Cyan´s directors when it comes to failure but it is good to remember that there are a lot of boards of directors who can be classed as competitors of Cyan in that regard.
Take this mob for instance:

12/4/2019 08:54 | That sounds like a lot of nonsense Fred! | davep4
12/4/2019 07:36 | 'CyanConnode also confirms that trading for the first three months in 2019 has been performing well and is in line with market expectations.'Surely, if trading has been performing well, then cyan should be exceeding market expectations, whatever they are. Nonsense statement, nonsense executive chairman, nonsense company. | fred splange
12/4/2019 06:22 | Good Morning Tightfist and all :)
The new communication style could be a combination of new leadership, new directors, new nomad, new PR outfit and lessons learned. Also Indian team would have settled into a more steady working relationship and maybe influencing matters here given that they contribute to most of the revenues ?
CYAN is looking up and heading in the right direction in any case, despite the recent significant share price drop since placing last year.
Various global trade and political matters not helping, but will do so with time. | multibagger
11/4/2019 13:31 | The RNS style of "under promise and (hopefully)over delivery", is probably down to the new Directors? | davep4
11/4/2019 13:25 | I cannot foresee WJ-P standing back and letting it get driven into the wall with JC glued to the wheel. The UK SMET2 installed base will soon become quite valuable (for annuity-style income) and IMO the IP is not without merit and value in Asia. Our MC is down at around £11m.Cheers, tightfist | tightfist
11/4/2019 12:18 | Hi dwall,
Interesting debate on the other thread..the bashers seem to be desperately clinging to an ever tinier piece of "hope" that the company will go to the wall and they will be proven right.
I think they are unlikely to be able to gloat and will soon have a BMI >40 with their staple of humble pie ! | multibagger
11/4/2019 11:38 | Hi MB
Nope, that’s what I would say too anyway.
That strategy has certainly been explained as preferable enough times.
Maybe it’s Arden and Yellow Jersey advice being implemented. | dwall
11/4/2019 08:58 | Courtesy of, and thanks to ImperialLondon on the other thread.
"I think it is a very cautiously worded and conservative Trading Update - I was not sure we would have one this quarter to be honest. As I was expecting Q1 to be pretty slow and low in revenues relative to the forward looking quarters for 2019.
So Q1 revenues in line with BoD expectations is a significant improvement in my book. This confirms my view that there is more scope of revenue increase particularly in H2....I think we may make a tiny tiny net profit in 2019."
I prefer this RNS style of "under promise and (hopefully)over delivery. Subtle changes in overall commercial strategy and communication - or am I reading too much into this ? | multibagger
11/4/2019 08:11 | Hi MB,Many thanks for the link to Genus Q3 earnings call transcript. Gives a real sense of what is going on and confirmation of what there is to play for (along with some very Indian confusion!). Give a gong for questions and tenacity to Manish Goya of Enam!!Cheers, tightfist | tightfist
11/4/2019 07:08 | They are still forecasting that the cash runway is sufficient to get to cash flow break even, let's hope so. After the January trading update where they stated expected full year revenues would be £4.7m (vs forecast of £8m from the Finncap), I was seriously beginning to doubt that. | timbo003
11/4/2019 06:38 | Oh please lord no. Not cyan going to execute more plans. I wonder what we are going to flip flop to next. At least the payroll can keep going. Hurrah for the people who contributed to never ending fund raises. | lwaxf13
11/4/2019 06:12 | "Sufficient funds to execute 2019 plans and reach cashflow breakeven"...... | emptyend
09/4/2019 16:09 | Green shoots?!! Definitely lots but in proper companies and my garden. In all seriousness it really is a major achievement here with the share price. Consolidating the share from sub 1p to 30p then in no time at all looks like it will be back below 1p very soon. That cannot be easy to achieve and I can only assume it requires special skills. | lwaxf13
08/4/2019 12:14 | The bid price has dipped below 6p.
But wait, it is spring. In this perfect graveyard of buried hopes, surely somewhere, a green shoot is about to appear. | orange1
05/4/2019 17:06 | Looking good. I think my confidence in JCs ability to totally destroy this company might be well placed. If this is a new all time low today it could be pats on the back all round at cyan and time to work out the bonuses for the big cheeses in charge of this world clsss failure. I bet anyone who got sucked into this crock at a dog n pony show just cannot believe their luck.
Sarcasm?!! Me?!! Never :-) | lwaxf13

03/4/2019 10:27 | Hi davep4...yes I thought so too. It is good that we are being trialled in a massive country with a new use of our solution.
I wonder whether our Omnimesh solution is a retrofit trial, as there are strong rumours that the Indian EESL 10 million smart meter procurement and implementation have simply not taken off and the installed smart meters are simply not working. (You will need to check the other LSE thread for this conversation about a few weeks ago).
Could be an exciting development...great oaks from little acorns grow
EDIT: Worth having a read of the posts particularly from Bull.bear on Lse thread 16-18 March 2019 | multibagger
03/4/2019 08:05 | In plain English that means that we can expect and anticipating more dynamic bonds. | orange1
03/4/2019 07:51 | Sounds like the UK Toshiba solution. | davep4
