I don't think hiring Elon Musk would have made much difference to the SP, obviously solid contracts is what is needed, luckily I got out at 13.50 with a tidy profit when we started to stall, hopefully come back around 9/10 if something concrete happens. Good luck all

I agree SBP ! I thought I was possibly reading too much into this but feel that I am possibly not the only one whose corporate instincts are picking up some interesting vibes...is the drum beat changing to something even bigger ? Who knows !

Let's hope we are onto something significant :)

Hi MB,.As you comment, interesting to see the ongoing interchange of very senior personnel between some key Indian SM market players, but particularly this one from Intellismart into Cyan. IMHO too, this bodes well..Regarding your comment on potential income stream, maybe take a refresher? on the drivers of who participated in the NIIF fund-raising last Autumn. Once one has invested/installed circa 250 million meters across the entirety of India, that surely has very considerable life-expectancy until obsolescence creeps in? Medium-term the Cyan maintenance legacy (cash-cow?) could become very valuable..Strategically the relatively low-hanging fruit of substantially reducing "non-technical" losses will already have been harvested, so the threshold IRR for the next disrupter (ie SM replacer) will become pretty challenging..... but DYOR! IoT ultimately becomes a significant facet?.Cheers, tightfist

mb, When I saw "RNSNON Strengthening of India Team" I thought how boring, then I read the RNSNON. For those that can read/understand this is big. For those who can't - wait a year or so!!!!

Best regards SBP

Hint: The shift to Opex models in India offers clear visibility on revenues for 7-10 years...a steady, predictable, guaranteed income stream for Pension Funds/Income Funds and something that may pique private equity interest.

CyanConnode India Private Ltd is a 100% fully owned subsidiary of CyanConnode (UK AIM listed CYAN)...so one can speculate what corporate options may develop from such a holding structure.

A part of me instinctively feels that the announcement today of personnel movement may be an early indicator of things to come ?

I admit I could be reading too much into this...so make your own minds up :)

Good luck all !

An interesting and possibly significant development in my view as it seems that we are working on the broader strategic/relationship issues in India, strengthening the operational and supply chain management and simultaneously creating a Vice Chairman for India post.....whilst having the funds to pursue the opportunities.

There seems to be a fair bit of senior personnel movement between the various stakeholders in the smart meter rollout in India which could be read as a positive sign (if one is so inclined) as it could/would strengthen existing cross-organisation relationships.

Something positive brewing in the medium term I think...good luck all :)

Good morning beeezz and all :)

Agree that we could reasonably expect good commercial news given we have so many irons in the fire across the world and the money to pursue opportunities and secure supplies as needed. It is a matter of waiting a bit longer for the cogs of Govt machinery and the procurement processes to turn.

Much as we all would love to see it happen - I am not sure about the virus going away in the next few years though...it is a question of learning to live with it and getting on with our lives, jobs, economies etc in the meantime. It is the "new normal" albeit a very challenging and difficult one for most IMHO.

Good luck all !

Yes good to see share price holding new levels, should get some news in coming months which brought on board our new investors, could be transformational year for CYAN once we kick this virus into touch..No money worries for sometime either.

Good morning all :)

7 open positions at Cyan across UK and India.....an addition of 1 further position since I last looked.

Most would agree that a company that is actively recruiting to business/commercial facing positions is a good sign...

It's Friday and hopefully we hold the share price gains we have made over the week :)

Good luck all !

Katie Potts from Herald Investment has also increased her Fund Holding

08 June 2021: From 12,401,579 or 6.64%

09 June 2021: To 15,243,684 or 6.93%

An increase of 2,842,105 shares

Significant increase.... but because the her overall share holding has not crossed the 7% threshold it did not trigger a Holdings RNS...

Good to see the institutional holdings. On the subject of whether their shares were obtained via the placing or in the market, the RNS announcing the result of the placing said -

"It is expected that Admission will become effective and dealings in the Placing Shares and Subscription Shares commence at 8.00 a.m. on or around 8 June 2021."

Both today's holdings announcements state the relevant date as being 8th June so I think it's possible that they were bought in the placing, though that doesn't rule out the possibility of them topping up in the market.
