03/6/2021 15:23 | I remember we used to have a good bit of banter on the CYAN board about 15 years ago. Think it is falling into place at long last | volsung
03/6/2021 15:22 | Don't miss the boat 8 mins left! | smraynot
03/6/2021 15:20 | I have been in CYAN since August 2009 and have been under water ever since UNTIL TODAY !!!! Numerous averaging down deals and today I can sell at a profit, but I am not going too I think our time has actually arrived !! | lesable
03/6/2021 15:09 | Instis are happy to pay a premium for shares that they want - it is other people's money (OPM) they are dealing with. Fund Managers are incentivised by their performance relative to their peers/fund sector etc, so once you have a couple of fund managers take a position, FOMO often kicks in and others follow suit. Nobody wants to be seen missing/thought to be missing a trick. Also position size is important, so due to the heavy oversubscription, they may not have got their fill today....so the share price is likely to move upwards for a while longer...with the usual dips along the way created by profit taking. | multibagger
03/6/2021 14:30 | Could the IIs have gleamed some info not privy to us small guys and so the heavy subscription and buying today..B | bskiny1
03/6/2021 14:21 | This is going great, got in a couple of weeks ago, I think it still has a lot of legs and a way to go. Speaking of plenty of legs to go has anyone had a look at Goedecker? Would like to hear your thoughts | larryparker
03/6/2021 14:08 | MT - Thanks for info It will be mainly for increased staff if production has a sudden increase in volumes, must have cash in bank to pay staff... | beeezzz
03/6/2021 14:04 | bskiny, I also think the market is beginning to digest the RNS about the MOU with intellismart. They are effectively (backed by) the government of India, and CYAN market cap is 25m. Once that sinks in properly, the opportunity speaks for itself. Obviously some institutions thought so, hence the oversubscribed placing at a premium to the then share price. Best regards SBP | stupidboypike
03/6/2021 13:59 | Thanks, many others must agree with your thoughts....still rising..magic..B | bskiny1
03/6/2021 13:53 | Hi Bskiny1, Good question....but the answer is pretty simple. It is the purpose of the fund raising that determines whether the market will like it or not. If the fund raise is to just to keep the lights on at the Company and pay the overheads, then it is negative. If the fund raise is to increase working capital and strengthen balance sheet to pursue bigger contracts, then it is positive. Many types of fundraising cause dilution....or your share of the pie gets smaller. However, though the slice you have may appear "smaller", this pie has got a whole lot bigger. That's why I saw the fundraising along with the words "heavily oversubscribed" as absolute music to my ears - I am very happy for a small piece of a much larger pie :) | multibagger
03/6/2021 13:27 | Multi...can I pick your brain...when I saw this this morning I saw dilution and thought share price drop....Any idea what is going on...I am not complaining. B | bskiny1
03/6/2021 11:37 | No 1 at the moment on the leaderboard, but may see some profit taking by traders by close of play...all to be expected. | multibagger
03/6/2021 11:33 | The share price spike today and its position on the Leaderboard will definitely have raised our profile..... | multibagger
03/6/2021 11:24 | Hi Mdchand, I think the catalyst for the fundraise was the Intellismart JV recently announced and an agreement may have been sought that CYAN raise funds to strengthen their balance sheet. To bid on contracts/tenders of size, the strength of the balance sheet becomes a pre-bid qualification issue....even though our partners will be the Lead Bidders. So to me this pre-sages the scale of contracts we are potentially in the running for - I think it could well be in the millions of smart meters in India for starters.... Edit@1250: If you reckon an Opex 1 million Smart Meter contract for 10 years is circa $180 million overall ...you'll begin to appreciate that scale of the potential, as India intends to implement 250 million smart meters.....the mind boggles honestly....all we need is a tiny fraction of these | multibagger
03/6/2021 11:21 | I was not invited, though my IFA did pass on an email he got yesterday which merely recirculated Hardman's recent note which valued the company at c. GBP72mn.I'm not sure what more info people might want, to be honest, given the current market cap...... | emptyend
03/6/2021 11:04 | Pretty sure the new investors were given more information that PI's get, we tend to be last to hear... So could be major orders announcements coming over next few months which is probably what II's were told.... Would have preferred funding done after announcing any new contracts, share price would have been far higher, less dilution. | beeezzz
03/6/2021 10:40 | Like the look of these. See a breakout In for a starter portion | volsung
03/6/2021 10:33 | Happy days indeed. However, a fund raise at a small premium shouldn't have generated such a strong price rise. I am wondering whether Cyan was able to give clearer visibility on the future pipeline, or indeed whether this fund raise was specifically needed to meet a very large order that has yet to be formally announced. If anyone on this board was involved in the fund raise this morning, can you comment on whether there is information that has yet to be released into the public domain? | mdchand
03/6/2021 10:18 | Happy days 😀😀 | smraynot
03/6/2021 09:27 | The company at last gets a day in the sun. I did take part in a number of placings in the past, but nowadays am contacted. I have one holding of 47,857 (acquired pre-consolidation) at a cost of £11,594, so it's still worth less than half, but I did take 500,000 at 2.1p in the market a while back, so that is well in the money. I suspect that after allowing for Subscribed Share Income Tax Loss Relief on previous placings now sold, and may actually be in the money overall – but it's been a very long time coming. I will go on holding – dreams of 20p – which way back in the past was the very first warrant price! | bscuit
03/6/2021 09:24 | Bidding 11.80No way I'm selling | hamidahamida
03/6/2021 08:17 | A couple of folks I know have taken 172,645@10.9p and 258,227@11.9 this morning and a huge premium at that time for the volume. Will show up in due course I am sure.... So pent up demand and the Instis that have got in aren't going to be selling anytime soon. The liquidity issue has not gone away. If people are waiting on the sidelines, the next commercial RNS will propel this much further IMHO I never sweat the pennies or (god forbid ) fractions of a penny for that matter...penny wise and all that :) | multibagger
03/6/2021 08:13 | In fact, so not a lot, that this could be a multi-bagger, given sufficient success of this joint venture. | molatovkid
03/6/2021 08:13 | Excellent news re oversubscription and fund raise at a premium ! I am aware that semiconductor and related component manufacturers are having customers pay upfront to get ahead in the queue for goods. So this protects the resilience and continuity of our supply chain. I see this fundraise as very positive as it is for expansion. Market seems to love it. Good luck all ! | multibagger |
