16/7/2018 13:42 | Johnwall - the RNS is very poorly composed imo. It can be interpreted in several different ways, which is not good. Stating that the $780K order is part of a larger order and then subsequently stating 50% of the "total order value" will lead to crossed wires. So will the selling of software licenses ahead of meters......which as you'll see from the RNS are still yet to be trialled. That will happen in Q3....with roll out anticipated in Q4, with payments anticipated in the next financial year. Note...CYAN have been 'here' before........years and years ago.......the number of trials and 'assumed' (touted) orders under Kenn Lamb is legendary. Anyway. By your interpretation, 50% of £780K = $390K = approx £290K.......wh All in my opinion as ever. ps.....haven't seen the much lauded 100M order book wheeled out for an airing recently!! | realist1950
16/7/2018 13:02 | realist - the relevant section of the RNS (which you quoted)actually says that approx 50% if the TOTAL order value of $780k relates to software licences which have been delivered and that this will be FULLY recognised in this financial year. As you say, we must all reach our own conclusions! | johnwall
16/7/2018 10:12 | ... exact amount of money having been banked. Err this is cyan. The world leader in hot air, ecosystem of partners, awards, dog and pony shows, low bar options for the team, bonusess, flip flopping, fund raising, share price distruction, losses, big hitters. The only significent money they bank is from fund raising. Reai proper money from selling stuff, well that bit would seem a skill in short supply at Cyan. My target price is still 0p under this lot. | lwaxf13
16/7/2018 09:41 | Agreed. Peanuts. And more than likely a pre-placing / fundraising sweetener - in my opinion. Note the delivery phase on the broader order is a whopping 10 years. The company is still very much loss making. | realist1950
16/7/2018 07:07 | Purchase order for smart metering in Sweden 16 July 2018 CyanConnode Holdings plc ("CyanConnode" or the "Company") Purchase order for smart metering implementation in Sweden CyanConnode, the world leader in narrowband radio mesh networks, announces receipt of a purchase order from HM Power for a smart metering implementation for a Swedish utility. The purchase order, worth US$780,000, is part of a larger order for the supply of an IPv6-based solution based on perpetual software licenses and annual maintenance for an initial period of 10 years. Approximately 50% of the total order value, which will be recognised fully in the current financial year, relates to software licences which have been delivered. Roll out of the meters will commence in Q4 2018 following an initial 1,500-meter pilot in Q3 2018. As such, a large proportion of payment for the units is expected be recognised in the next financial year. HM Power and CyanConnode have worked together for more than five years and in 2016 signed a license agreement for the distribution of CyanConnode products and services. The Swedish-based system integrator provides smart metering and smart grids solutions to many Swedish utilities supplying electricity meters integrated with CyanConnode's IPv6-based solution. The majority of smart meters in Sweden were deployed during the first rollout, which ended in 20091. Last week, the Government Office of Sweden announced that the next generation of smart meters is now being introduced and must be in place by 01 January 2025. The new smart electricity meters will provide new functionality, such as hourly measurements, as well as support a user interface that enables customers to measure their consumption2. In total, approximately five million next generation meters will be installed3. John Cronin, CyanConnode Executive Chairman, commented: "We are pleased to announce this latest order, further demonstrating the growing demand for standards-based solutions. HM Power is part of our global partner eco-system and our collaborative approach demonstrates the suitability of our technology to address evolving market requirements." | multibagger
16/7/2018 07:05 | Latest announcement is not enough, still not covering costs here. | owenski
15/7/2018 16:00 | Daily Telegraph: Sunday, 15 July 2018, Page 22: Article: Do smart meters need a mobile signal ? "...the good news for people hoping to get accurate energy bills via a smart meter is that all meters will soon be enrolled into a dedicated wireless smart meters network....The new wireless smart meter network, operated by the Data and Communications Company (DCC) will cover more homes than are currently covered by 4G.." | multibagger

12/7/2018 18:52 | Have been away for a few days and have only just seen the latest. Dear o dear. Dreary turnover, big loss....and note the wording: "The Company expects H1 2018 revenues of GBP1.6 million" So have they been paid or not? 'Expecting' is not the same as 'banking'. Perhaps I'm being pedantic......it's just the history here kind of makes me rather....'twitchy' (that's the polite way of putting it). In my opinion, there still isn't a 'business' here as such. The outlay is still considerably larger than the money coming in......and I predict they'll pursue more funding - soon. We'll see. AIMO. ADYOR. | realist1950
12/7/2018 06:57 | Tick Tock ... Zzzzz .... Is no one interested in the world leading crock? How many more monthly payrolls can we cover with the dwindling pot of cash? Anyone? | lwaxf13
04/7/2018 21:04 | Popped into PC World today to buy a screen wipe for my glasses and the whole IoT thing, especially for the home is taking off big time. I had a look around but I couldn't find the Cyclops stuff. Thought I would ask one of the on hand experts an opinion of the recently announced Omnimesh (whatever that is) but decided not to embarrass him as he had probably never heard of world leading Cyan or the OmniPotent thingamabob -) Checked to see had it been white labelled under Hoover or something but left none the wiser and they had no screen wipes either :-( | lwaxf13
04/7/2018 06:33 | Well there are only two left to walk the plank IMO. Then that's the decks cleaned. For now they have clung on to a nice monthly pay cheque. Can't see that lasting though given their track record of failure here. | lwaxf13
03/7/2018 12:49 | I was right when I asked who would be next to do a runner as ITT has pointed out and I'll say the sAIM, ...who is next to walk the plank? | stedon
27/6/2018 16:39 | Even if they do announce some order or other lodged is anyone going to believe a word of it? I for one do not believe anything this company says. Hot air springs to mind. | lwaxf13
27/6/2018 15:59 | Should have been knew not new, so nothing knew I mean new here other than the share price is falling again and a delayed sell pub' @ 9.25 | stedon
27/6/2018 14:48 | My guess is that there will be another RNS shortly - probably some order or other lodged, or a bit of cash spat into the coffers at cyan HQ. That would be three 'positive' RNS' in close succession......but the market doesn't seem to be buying it. I suspect there is a bigger and more ominous RNS further off and I suspect that relates to funding. Been in the markets too long and I have seen it all before and it makes one weary. zzzzzzzz! The above is just my personal opinion and idle speculation, as ever. Peeps should take their own impartial financial advice and reach their own conclusions. On that point I'd remind dwall that attending an AGM and being turned on by the words of the BOD is far from impartial. | realist1950
27/6/2018 14:19 | LOL! ...ITT Not sure who is the BAD cop JC or JS I guess JS new that JC's speech was perforated to be frank and now JS is putting his own stamp on the CONpany,....cheers ....The Philatelist | stedon
27/6/2018 11:54 | Inthetin - spooky! - I was just enjoying some coogan here too! ;O) | realist1950
27/6/2018 11:50 | dwall - make a call. Be my guest. Shall we factor in that one would be around 70% down on their holding, had they listened to you when you first showed up on this thread, or, shall we be generous and conveniently forget that rather trivial point?? I'm all ears. | realist1950 |
