14/6/2018 10:39 | realist - :) | stupidboypike
14/6/2018 10:12 | RealistLol on sbp. Do you think JC might make a gesture at agm of reducing his salary? There's an instant £500k saving been made, that's more than SSs fees surely. | cancun tango
14/6/2018 10:05 | LOL stupidboypike. Actually, you have read one other good post from me, where I complemented you on having one of the best user names on ADVFN. | realist1950
14/6/2018 10:04 | I'll probably resign myself soon, from the cyan commentary / chat and advfn in general. Life is busy. I hope that by tempering the often blind (and biased) rallying cries of the bulls, more of the reality of the situation has come to the fore....and maybe even a few people avoided losing their hard earned money along the way. Many things trouble me about the business, but I have to say, it is the level of renumeration here VS (and I stress that point - VS) delivered results that has stuck in my craw the most. The single biggest gesture the BOD could do at the AGM is renounce their renumeration packages ENTIRELY - and for some time to come and NOT then to hike the same when payments begin again. But that wont happen. If it did however, it would show a level of sincerity and acknowledgement over what they have taken to date VS cash delivered........... Regards. | realist1950
14/6/2018 10:01 | realist:- "I'll probably resign myself soon, from the cyan commentary / chat and advfn in general." That's the only good post I've ever seen from you. Many thanks from everyone. Goodbye Best regards SBP | stupidboypike
14/6/2018 09:36 | davep4 - well the reason, the official reason, is that cited in the RNS. Pressure from retail investors, from a corporate point of view is negligible, because of the shareholder split you're all pretty powerless when it comes to hiring / firing staff. Pressure, if indeed it contributed, would more likely come from future (major) funding sources. Management should be under a level of pressure, generally. This is especially the case in an underperforming business or at least one that is solely reliable on investor funds to remain as a going concern. And you could argue further that directors who are receiving handsome pay should be under more pressure still to bring the business to fruition. Ultimately the buck has to stop with the CEO as he or she is the person at the wheel. Being the primary point of contact for shareholders, Simon Smith always struck me as one of the more attentive, decent and earnest members of the BOD. However, if a resignation was to occur at the company, it's not a surprise to me that it would be him. If indeed he found the water was getting too hot, as your post infers, then he's probably better off out of it and I'm sure most CYAN shareholders would wish him well - something I could begin to understand. He certainly was not an arrogant man. At the end of the day it's just a job - one that has paid him pretty well. | realist1950
14/6/2018 09:27 | I agree with realist as often do. Whatever the reason SS done a runner he should not leave the country until after endgAIM. | stedon |
