LOL stupidboypike. Actually, you have read one other good post from me, where I complemented you on having one of the best user names on ADVFN.

I'll probably resign myself soon, from the cyan commentary / chat and advfn in general.

Life is busy.

I hope that by tempering the often blind (and biased) rallying cries of the bulls, more of the reality of the situation has come to the fore....and maybe even a few people avoided losing their hard earned money along the way.

Many things trouble me about the business, but I have to say, it is the level of renumeration here VS (and I stress that point - VS) delivered results that has stuck in my craw the most.

The single biggest gesture the BOD could do at the AGM is renounce their renumeration packages ENTIRELY - and for some time to come and NOT then to hike the same when payments begin again.

But that wont happen.

If it did however, it would show a level of sincerity and acknowledgement over what they have taken to date VS cash delivered...........further it would also signal their belief and conviction for the future prospects of the business. After all, the market has clearly heard enough hot air.

Regards.

That's the only good post I've ever seen from you. Many thanks from everyone. Goodbye

davep4 - well the reason, the official reason, is that cited in the RNS.

Pressure from retail investors, from a corporate point of view is negligible, because of the shareholder split you're all pretty powerless when it comes to hiring / firing staff.

Pressure, if indeed it contributed, would more likely come from future (major) funding sources.

Management should be under a level of pressure, generally. This is especially the case in an underperforming business or at least one that is solely reliable on investor funds to remain as a going concern. And you could argue further that directors who are receiving handsome pay should be under more pressure still to bring the business to fruition.

Ultimately the buck has to stop with the CEO as he or she is the person at the wheel.

Being the primary point of contact for shareholders, Simon Smith always struck me as one of the more attentive, decent and earnest members of the BOD. However, if a resignation was to occur at the company, it's not a surprise to me that it would be him.

If indeed he found the water was getting too hot, as your post infers, then he's probably better off out of it and I'm sure most CYAN shareholders would wish him well - something I could begin to understand. He certainly was not an arrogant man. At the end of the day it's just a job - one that has paid him pretty well.

Very odd for someone to go so close to the AGM.

You would have thought that, in order to save some time and money, the resignation RNS would have been rolled in the with AGM statement, which will surely come.

I suspect this means Simon Smith will also not be in attendance.

Perhaps he didn't want to be.

Pure speculation on my part.

And can anyone tell me what the heck Paul Hutton is doing, or has done, since his appointment.

It all looks very....."cosy"....to me!

But that's just my opinion, as ever!

It's almost as if they are paying just to have a bit of 'ARM' kudos at BOD level.

Fake it till you make it and all that.

Once again.....just my interpretation and opinion. ADYOR.

My thoughts entirely cct.

As soon as I saw the RNS title I KNEW it would be Simon Smith.

That's probably where your saving is coming from, as recently announced, imo.

(I didn't even bother finish reading the second RNS).

YAWN!

That's the value of a paid trial.

Ine might have expected to see massive director purchases to support the price, but presumably the proximity of the AGM and the recent statement makes that difficult.

realist1950, I was agreeing with your statement "I believe in any other company, given the last set of results, there would have been resignations".

Sorry CT, I was referring to JC helping himself to bonuses and his £80K back pay before the opportunity to do so evaporates.

I think JC and "his" senior team should be applauded at the AGM. I propose a slow hand clap to thank them for the never ending failure. Though I guess if you are trousering a couple of hundred grand a year that is not failures

This AGM will be great. Do cyan lay on busses between their office and the train station?

davep4 - in what way do you think "I'm right" regarding resignations? Ie that there wont be any? That there 'can't' be any? Or there will be?

I don't think I've committed myself in any one way in my post.

Thanks.
