13/5/2011 13:24 | that last trade of 50k shown as a sell is actually a buy :) | parvez
13/5/2011 11:52 | I've been looking around the oil and natural resource penny shares today, and there appear to be quite a few good, undervalued opportunities there. Imagine how many even more obscure and undervalued opportunities there must be elsewhere. There are some huge growth acquisitions/investm | jojo_jo
13/5/2011 09:22 | I wish I'd jumped into Sefton myself at noon yesterday (thought about it). It's more than doubled since then. Let's hope that Crosby may actually have got involved over the last few days. | jojo_jo
12/5/2011 12:25 | resourse invest only short term, they will try to close there books daily and would certainly not hold till june as indicated on here | the_isolator
12/5/2011 11:30 | If Sefton (??), perhaps they should have bid yesterday, before it doubled! That said it would still be a worthwhile investment/acquisiti Unlikely, but possible. A strategic investment/holding of perhaps £4 - 5m (for say 40% of the company) could be a good move though. Still unlikely. | jojo_jo
12/5/2011 10:43 | Could Sefton Resources be Crosby's first deal? Thought they were looking in the part of the world where Sefton are? | montyhedge
12/5/2011 10:41 | spur: So you have aleady made one 'bad' bet and are now hell bent on another? No logic whatsoever. One only has to read the penny share threads to see money being thrown down the drain by hapless punters persuing this policy. I hold so am not de-ramping. May buy a few more myself but i would be averaging UP! The only sensible way. | waldof
12/5/2011 10:28 | revised my average down price to 4p now, still potentially 6 weeks of no news. | spurberry
12/5/2011 10:01 | Anything below these prices will prove to be a bargin | resource invest
12/5/2011 09:57 | .....flushing out all the very short term speculators....T15 or T20 merchants. Good egg. Keep going. | waldof
12/5/2011 09:51 | Average down!!!! Quickest way to the poorhouse. | waldof
12/5/2011 09:01 | maybe I will average down if this gets below 5p | spurberry
11/5/2011 23:10 | MMs who deal in SETS stocks rarely hang on to stock for more than a few hours. MMs who deal in AIM and very Small Cap stocks are a law unto themselves. They don't normally gamble much but will sometimes speculate on stocks they expect to rise. They are obliged to buy stock a client wants to sell, and can often end up holding a lot of stock. Accordingly they can lose money if they don't drop the price sufficiently. | jojo_jo
11/5/2011 18:35 | count down to june, wont be long | theshareguru
11/5/2011 16:04 | Of course MM's hold stock. How else do you make a market without holding stock??? They buy at the bid price and sell at the offer price and make the margin in between. They do not match one buyer of 100K share with one seller of 100K share. You would be a long time making a deal if this was the case...... | resource invest
11/5/2011 15:53 | mm dont hold stock they are what it says market makers | the_isolator
11/5/2011 13:52 | He won't have to micro-manage his holdings, and is probably moving them here exactly so he doesn't have to! He's here because of the track record and integrity of his main partner-investors/ma You can bet the 'game is afoot' behind the scenes, and they will have some great news for investors over the next 6 weeks. MMs are stocking up now for a very profitable June. Some who bought on T+ or margin will be selling as it drifts down, as you would expect, but everything is getting mopped up. | jojo_jo
11/5/2011 13:41 | I thought he was off to Uni for over a year, so nothing going to happen here for at least 12 months. | montyhedge
11/5/2011 13:34 | Clearly Abramovich has not bought into this for nothing. He has a plan, presumably to reverse, or at least manage, his holdings into Crosby. Crosby itself will be eyeing up assets for the company. There will input on both sides. | jojo_jo
11/5/2011 07:48 | All shares are a gamble. Any company can warn unexpectedly and see its share price plummet. This is much less of a gamble. There are no profits to warn about, and share price movements will consist in the main of big upward jumps (on asset/investment/inv When the assets/investments start being announced this will rocket. As stated above, PIs will probably be diluted to around 50% as a result, but it could well be 50% of a £400m+ company. The Abramoviches will want to move this to the better regulated main market (ideally FTSE 350) asap - certainly within two years. There has only been limited dilution to date, as Abramovich was sold shares by the other main stake holders. The time to add, imho, is when it has retraced about a third. I'm guessing they'll have some news on assets and investments in June, or earlier. It would be nice to see a more regular trickle of positive news though. | jojo_jo
10/5/2011 10:54 | They have associated companies and strategic partners with cash/funds waiting in the wings. I'm not sure how much is there, but £300m rings a bell. | jojo_jo
10/5/2011 10:36 | jo jo sorry for stupid question but what hong kong investor funds? and how much is there? I thought cash was only 2 million | spurberry
10/5/2011 10:25 | Yes they could never raise any meaningful capital with an open offer or rights issue. They could leverage the Hong Kong investor funds, and there's a lot available there to finance acquisitions. However asset introductions courtesy Abramovich Jr. will be the main near term share price driver. He will probably end up owning around 50% of the company and besides reversing-in his own assrets will use the aforementioned funds to acquire new prospects. Can see assets jumping to £200m pretty quickly. Once the Abramovich name is attached to these assets they will multiply in value, so can see assets on the books soon hitting £400m of which around half will be net. So £200m + enterprise value. Comfortably a 10-12 bagger over the course of the next couple of years. Ready to add a lot more if it hits 5p. | jojo_jo |
