paulof2- I see an 'LRGS' (large in scale) notice on a sale totaling £8,721 this morning. I wonder if somebody might have created a nice entry point for themselves.

Chirpy/carping/trier- I don’t believe CRL has offered pre-results trading updates in years gone by, barring May 2019 when their R&D tax rebate had to be declared as it was considered insider information. The statement appears to have been made purely to satisfy this requirement, rather than to make the market aware of the strong results that were to come.

FTSE Fledgling Index regulations differ somewhat from those of the 100 and even AIM and you might find such updates less frequent across the index as a whole.

I don’t believe that investors should place too much emphasis on the issue, or non-issue of a trading statement prior to full year results. Personally, I’m looking at more reliable indicators of performance, such as the new sanitants production line and recent launch of new product ranges in supermarkets both in the UK and abroad.

This company has been around since 1975 - that´s why it´s not AIM. So now why are you worried. Dońt you remember it was a reasonable size company, back in the day.

Looks like Trier needs to do more research... not AIM listed which is why I'm not particularly worried by this company at this time.

Why is everyone worrying? Surely the results will be great and the forward expectations should also be ok?

CRL isn't AIM listed though Trier - DTR2/ MAR Article 17 applies.

trier1,

Because there are no market forecasts for CRL they don't (as far as I understand it) have to RNS significantly positive or negative trading prior to results announcements.

If it was significant they would have issued an rns to say so. More likely it is replacing other products where orders have dried up.

Was hoping for notification of trading update today. Anyone no when it is coming?
I reckon this sanitiser should be worth 17.5p a bottle to us - that would add 4 mill to operating profit, lets hope the demand is there for the next 12 months at least. Gla

trier1- you might well be right regarding a news leak, though personally I think it's market anticipation of strong results at the end of next month. CRL has performed very well year on year and is one of relatively few businesses in a position to benefit from the Coronavirus outbreak.

Although do bear in mind that article is six weeks old, so if so it's a very delayed reaction.

I brought hand sanitizer from them.. Why?? Because I cannot find it anywhere in local supermarkets... haven't seen it in a shop since virus panic hit the shops! Turned up within 48hrs.

They are selling a product which everyone wants and needs including businesses that are opening.. in my mind it's about time the market caught up!! Results will indeed be interesting.

A news leak that no one is telling the market about seems the most likely bet.

What with businesses being asked to return to work and hand sanitizer Etc to be made available for staff then I'm hoping Creightons will be providing!

I'm happy to hold and been in since 45p!

Might even see some semblance of a Divi where most others have been cut? Here's hoping!
