I once had to sit through a motivational song from M-People called 'look for the hero inside yourself" with 6 others round a table and the manager at his tape recorder making sure it didn't go on the blink. I just thought WTF am I doing here!!

Told you didn't I, didn't believe me! Alot of work to do in these stores but we will turn it around in all stores and get 4 and 5 stars across the board, staff are right though, when the CEO uses the "greatest showmen" for his motivation speech. ??? Bring back KB RD MW and CC

Plenty of 4 and 5 stars too. I called in a shop yesterday, it was quite busy with a good selection on shelves.The staff didn't seem that impressed with the new CEO. They seemed to have little respect for him and said he was out of his depth. Apparently he has taken to walking around in a chefs jacket with his name embroidered on the front giving away discount cards. If this is true then I'm not sure if this is the priority for a CEO when staff could be pushing any promotions themselves. Surely there are bigger fish to fry at that level other than playing the celebrity chef part. Their thinking is that he was the author of his own misfortune at Asda and will be the author of Crawshaws and his own misfortune this time round. All very negative. It's not good when staff have formed these opinions already. Let's hope they are wrong.

I wouldn't buy from any food outlet with a hygiene rating of less than 5

What are CRAW's doing allowing that to happen and not at just one shop.

Just seen it and I am shocked to say the least
I was in there on my travels 2 weeks ago to get some lunch and everything seemed fine.
This is bad and a failing on all levels
Whoever is in charge at Derby needs to go
From store manager to area manager
Shocking !
I looked the other day and it was 5 stars but silly boy knew all about it .....inside information ??

Which Midlands shop ?
I have been to all the midlands shops and never had or seen a problem. ?
Just checked the Food Standsrds site and there is no midlands shops with a score of one ?

So we have another 1 star shop on our hands, dropped 4 stars!! Went in on Monday....shelves looked empty, store looked dirty and staff telling me they have no money to take staff on and those who do work there have had contracted hours implemented.. time for me to look for another job.

We do not have to have credit insurance for our customers which Cliftons did.There are pressures but we have to have the right product at the right price being sold by good staff..

Customers will go where they get the best deal and quality at that price level.

It’s certainly a baptism of fire for Jim but he needs some help and I laboured this point at the AGM. The magical combination Colin put together were Davies, Wilson and Boyd and the chemistry was terrific.

Anything can happen here especially at this valuation. MuscleFood secured 10 million in funding earlier this year and could easily bid for the business to gain a brand building high street presence.
