16/5/2018 09:34 | You seem to be well on top of the story here mc. Do you see value here to 10p or higher? | meijiman
16/5/2018 09:17 | There are plenty of job adverts on their website which suggests the stores are profitable and need staffing. Also the move to open a Leicester shop might imply they see potential outside of the northern heartland. In my view they should tempt in the punters with the cooking chicken smell/aroma! | meijiman
16/5/2018 08:51 | Another tasty rise. Might reward myself with a visit to one of their outlets. | meijiman
16/5/2018 08:21 | Igbert is taking the michael re the CEOs last position with asda.... | mcmather
16/5/2018 08:20 | Sillyboy, comment regarding Igbert's post 6387 | optomistic
16/5/2018 08:12 | I didn't say visit all shops every week I said he needs to listen to the managers, hold a meeting and bring them together he will see that all managers have similar views. Trouble is no one speaks up for being isolated... | sillyboy1
16/5/2018 07:39 | Visiting ALL the shops every week would be next to impossible but he does need to visit all the shops sometime soon...and listen and take note of individual staff members. | optomistic
16/5/2018 07:24 | Yup, new CEO needs to get round all the shops every week... might run up a hefty expense bill doing that though... | igbertsponk
15/5/2018 20:23 | The new CEO needs to speak to the management at ground level, we are not a supermarket and everyshop is different and unique, store managers know what sells and what doesn't, Noel and his sideshow came in and promised the world to shareholders without any consideration for how Crswshaws came about, onwards and upwards and good reddince to them all in office! | sillyboy1
15/5/2018 17:30 | If the new CEO is straight plain talking and is able to engage and speak on the same level, then it will work. Crawshaw staff are down to earth and call a spade a spade, put the CEO in that mind-set of thinking and it will work. I see he is from Sheffield so probably a local lad which is promising. Don't think corporate and recruit senior managers with fancy titles and little to do on high salaries, that can wait till the company reaches 200 branches not 52! Living within your means comes to mind! Colin put his life into that company and built a family of staff around it, he deserves to see it thrive and prosper | pophead
15/5/2018 15:12 | Not sure iniesta. It's packaged meat on a shelf. And in Wigan. And the store has been mad busy since opening day. Wiganers' interest is value for money over aesthetics. Since yesterday those 'following' that page have increased by 200 and since the prize / give away video was posted on that page 23hrs ago it's had nearly 14,000 viewings. If you want 'pretty' have a look at the video of their store that Leicester posted up about 10 days ago; the link is on post #6325. | mcmather
15/5/2018 08:52 | Well said Pophead! I have spoken to them recently and still hold out some hope things can get back to the way things were. | playful
14/5/2018 20:45 | Spot on pophead; was it a 'high street' shop or a 'factory'? | mcmather
14/5/2018 18:51 | Having worked for Crawshaws I hope the change now in BOD is going to really turn things around. The front line staff were what made Crawshaws successful because there were some old school characters that customers loved and some great bargains, which customers liked, but then what happened prices went up, shops became too modern looking and staff moral went through the floor, customer loyalty lost and sales fell of the cliff edge. Look after the staff and the staff will look after the business! | pophead
11/5/2018 11:05 | Not what you need on a Friday - anyone on here? 11:04:08 11-May-2018 6.02 GBX 61,427 3,694.83 11:41:54 11-May-2018 5.81 GBX 61,427 3,567.68 | mcmather
11/5/2018 10:05 | Top % gainer so far: | mcmather
11/5/2018 09:49 | Rewards will hopefully now materialise for the patient and brave buyers from a few weeks back. minimum target based on my valuation of NAV remains 9p with a return to the profitable business of £1 mill giving a target of 15-20p. aimho. | s1zematters
11/5/2018 09:47 | ANYWAY IT SOUNDS LIKE SAUSAGES ARE SELLING LIKE HOT CAKES! | meijiman
11/5/2018 09:28 | isn't that guy (doctor) the one that gave a days notice on advfn about the profits warning last time around that stock and everyone on this thread commented about? ==================== Evil_doctor_facilier 14 Sep '16 - 11:29 - 4029 of 6353 0 3 0 I am hearing from Hellaby that sales are sluggish. I expect LFL sales to be down circa 5% I put it to you that on any traditional measurement of value, the shares are grossly overvalued! ==================== Hydrus 15 Sep '16 - 09:01 - 4102 of 6353 0 2 2 Evil - actually, the trading statement just confirms you had access to inside information which was leaked to you. That should be investigated. I imagine the company felt obliged to release the statement this morning because information had been leaked. What do you want an apology for? -------------------- Stocko small cap report: "Incidentally, I have to comment on the sharp fall in price yesterday, just before today's profit warning. Clearly some insider dealing going on, which is depressing to see, and reflects very badly on the company itself. Confidential information on trading must not be allowed to leak out, otherwise it creates a false market. Rumours on advfn are that someone's mate at Crawshaw's HQ told him before today's RNS, that LFL sales are down 5%. So that would explain the selling yesterday. However, it also means that head(s) need to roll at Crawshaw, to make sure that staff do not leak confidential information to their mates in future, if that is indeed what has happened." | s1zematters |
