cjohn: I think it's a good buy. LM Funding America - fintech company - buys delinquent accounts off community associations. It made a heavy loss in 2017, worsened by a series of one-offs, which slaughtered the share price. The high since flating on NASDAQ, end 2015, was close to $90. CRV now owns 31.5% of the company - buying in at $2.40, a premium to the current market price which is around $1.80. In the first half of 2018, LMFA was pleasantly profitable, If that continues, they've bought these at a steal.

mortimer7: Yesterdays RNS seems to have been largely overlooked in terms of impact on the share price Probably the odd time of day it was released. https://uk.advfn.com/stock-market/london/craven-hse-cap-CRV/share-news/Craven-House-Capital-PLC-Update-on-Brazilian-Land/74696780

karina: LSE charlie129 Opinion: Strong Buy Price: 1.275 Thanks for your feed back of the meeting Karina. What makes you so positive? Their Leader?? The Team?? or the large number of good deals waiting to be done - Do you think that the deals they have had for some time justifies the Bullish enthusiasm My Pleasure Charlie Its a combination of known specifics, the general tone of the meeting and a "gut feeing" from what could be said and what couldn't be said. I was impressed with Mark on the whole and there is a real conviction in his desire to take CRV to levels we had not even dreamt of. 1 Up to $150m from a sole investor at 1.25, 11 times the current market cap and agreed when 1.25 was a huge premium. That in itself is enough for me, but there's so much more. 2 Talks with "several" other investors and the fact that the resolutions allow CRV to raise up to circa $650m. I very much get the impression that this is the plan. If we were then to trade at a multiple of assets you could find CRV with a Market Cap of a $billion or more. That would have sounded like a flight of fancy to me a few months/weeks ago.... 3 Mark stated that we are the only company he knows of that's not trading on a multiple of its cash/asset position, that should/will change in my view once we leave AIM and the traders behind. 4 CRV will start PR at long, long last and its a story I can see generating huge interest 5 Mr Emmerson from SI Capital was there, and as well as being a very nice chap, he and SI bring a whole new dimension to CRV. 6 Moving off AIM who have scuppered deals for both CRV and SI Capital in the past, to a "proper" market. 7 "Several high net worth individuals" took part in recent placings. They have chosen not to reveal their identities so far. 8 I believe we will see a couple more placings in the next week or two 9 The new investor will no doubt take a place on the board and one assumes that with the amount they can invest it will be a name known to the City. 10 Pressfit is far from dead in the water and should generate long term value 11 I feel that Mr To, our chief strategy officer may well prove pivotal, that's very much just my view, nothing from the meeting to back this up, but its worth taking a look at his history 12 Personnel are already in place in Angola, Argentina and South Africa to manage the proposed investments, that tells me we are very close to deals being announced. 13 If you take a look at SI Capitals July review they state "Incredible times to be investing in markets and I have no doubt the next few months will bring further volatility and opportunity" This was very much Marks take on the opportunities open to CRV to invest when others are running for cover. 14 Our directors do not take salaries and have not sold a single CRV share. There's probably more but I must stress this is all from my recollection and notes and is therefore my interpretation of events and not attributable to Mark.

bozzy_s: Fantastic effort by CRV, fundraising at 40% premium to current share price, and looks like probably >100% premium to average price over the past year. There aren't many like this on the market. And when a company doesn't bother announcing the placing premium/discount to share price, it's usually because it's an embarrassing discount!

scargs: Rusty The thought of a Tuesday RNS has also crossed my mind. During the past 2/3 weeks there has been some decent buys, the announcement of the placing and a new broker appointment all of which has had a positive effect on the share price. The share price has gone up from say .65p to a smidge over 1p during this period and the late reported 1,000,000 BUY does make you think that good news is imminent. Have a good Bank holiday long weekend. Good Luck to all hard core, rock solid LTHs. Scargs

karina: 33 Price: 0.78TullyCrow 1,053 postsCRVCRV have always done their investments or placings at 1.25p. Are we to believe that the money invested today with no doubt more to follow are people who expect to do their dough? On the balance of probabilities I would suggest that isn't going to happen. What encourages an investor to put in close to £3.5m at a price of 1.25p when they know that they have immediately done £1m at the current share price..Why did Evan Kalimtgis take 26% of CRV? why are GEM willing to invest up to £30m? Why are other " overseas investors" still in advanced talks with us to invest even more money at 1.25p no doubt? Mr Pajak can hardly drop below that figure now can he?I am selling nothing and will see this out, it could be bigger than the regulars even think.

bam bam rubble: "CRV has raised GBP3.47m cash before expenses through a placing of 277,411,748 new shares @1.25p. The net proceeds will be used for investments, with certain opportunities already under evaluation. Market updates to follow in due course" Sounds like a deal to issue those shares to the investment vendors, who agreed CRV can announce it is issuing shares at a premium to raise cash consideration. That way everyone's a winner, as the directors get to ramp the share price and the vendors can list a cash sale on their CVs instead of a swap for AIM shares

jaf111: Agree with JusJusJus....that does not make sense....BUT Am also am struggling to understand the financials.... as i read it combined turnover of SAR13m and losses of SAR 17m!!! Barvale made a loss of SAR6.0m on turnover of SAR3.6m. Evergreen made a loss of SAR4.8m on turnover of SAR7.0m. Emvest Foods made a loss of SAR5.9m on turnover of SAR2.6m It is not as if these are newly established businesses....Barvale described as "a productive farm for a number of decades" and thee assets "have benefitted from considerable investment from EmVest in recent years" Can see CRV share price falling back to pre-news levels
